Just turned off the computer. Sent out my last email. Last time to be online untill vacation is over. Sure am gonna miss her! (My friends too)
Day 1 Sunday July 9
Got as far as Ozona, Texas last night. Then my husband, kid, mother-in-law & I stopped for the night. Got up this morning, had a great breakfast and started for Kingsland again. Got to the resort early, went and bought groceries for the week. It is very hot here!!! Can't wait to hit the pool. I don't miss my computer at all. Husband thinks I'm a computer junky! HA! I am not a computer junky.
Day 2 Monday July 10
Mother-in-law and my daughter got us up bright and early this morning. They were in SUCH a hurry to get up and out. Did the 50 sunblock thing on everyone I could corner before they got out the door. (Myself and my daughter) Spent a couple of hours in the pool with the kid. Did lunch, put kid down for nap, made BBQ and read a book. (Barely wondered if I have any new email)
Day 3 Tuesday July 11
Same song, second verse. Starting to feel like something is wrong, like I've forgotten something. Composing letters on an imaginary keyboard is keeping me sane!
Day 4 Wednesday July 12
Same things today. It is hard to breathe it is so hot! Got to get in the water, get wet to stay even a little cool. Lake LBJ is beautiful! The owner of this place won't let me check my email! Says their computer is just for business! She is lying and I know it!
Day 5 Thursday July 13
Friends of the family from San Antonio met us at the cabin. Spent several hours with them. Went out to eat and shopping. Enjoyed our time together. Went to the electronics department of Wal-Mart, got to look at software!!! Broke out in a cold sweat! Wonder why they looked at me so weird when I was checking out the keyboard?
Day 6 Friday July 14
Symptoms of withdrawal beginning to make themselves felt! Stayed in darkened, cool room as much as possible to lessen their effect and to avoid over stimulation. Went for a boat ride when I couldn't get out of it any longer. Closing my eyes and fingering the keyboard in my memory through the worst of the cold sweats helps!
Day 7 Saturday July15
Celebrated our nieces 17th birthday. Had to go back to Wal-Mart for a BD card. Walked by the electronics department. Proud of myself! Got by it with only mild stomache cramps! But, then they had a COMPUTER set up in the card aisle! One of those you use to make your own personalized card!!! Broke out in cold sweat, hands got clammy, stomache cramps became severe!!!! Obtained some relief by making a computer card for my niece! The screen was so cool and crisp. But not as good as MY screen at home!
Day 8 Sunday July 16
Symptoms of withdrawal getting very hard to hide from the family! I think they are getting suspicious! They are all hiding their computers from me! They said that they didn't bring computers but I KNOW they are liars!!! That's Ok. I'll get even with them! When I get home I won't email them for a month!
Day 9 Monday July 17
Left the lake yesterday and drove to San Antonio. Husband is looking at me strangely! I think he is wondering why we need so much extra money from the ATM's! And why I need to check our balances so frequently. Think she misses me?
Day 10 Tuesday July 18
My husband and the motel clerk can't understand why I insisted on borrowing the motels computer to make our reservations! What's their problem? Don't they know that having Computer reservations makes check in easier? Who cares that we were already guests there! Husband said we had a good time at Fiesta Texas. Who cares? They didn't have not one computerized location finder! I'll never go back!
Day 11 Wednesday July 19
Went to some kind of stupid wildlife park! Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch I think.They expected me to get excited over the dumb animals! They wouldn't even talk to me about the kind of operating system they used! We left. Went to Wonder World. I can't understand my husband and kid! They got upset with ME! They were the ones making all the confusion when the people at Wonder World threatened to call the police when I was only trying to make that nit-wit behind the counter see how easy it is to set up a Yahoo! email account! They pulled me away before I got my email to come up!! I just wanted to see!

So far so good! I've managed to keep my husband from knowing that I was withdrawing so badly from the computer! I don't think he knows anything is wrong. Stopping at every computer store and Wal-Mart has helped. I'm only nauseous and sweating most of the time now instead of all the time. Unfortunatly none of the store computers had internet access!

My husband is talking about hanging out some more before we go home!!!! Can't let that happen!!! Had to be very firm with him! Threatened to withdraw his computer privaleges for a month! Think that made him see daylight!

Husband says we can't stop any more at the computer stores and ATM's! We may have to get a divorce when all of this hellasous vacation is over! I GET THE COMPUTER! Don't worry baby, I'm on the way! Hold on just a little longer!

Husband keeps asking me if something is wrong. Wants to know why my hands are shaking, why I have no color, why the stomache cramps are keeping me doubled up and why I cry every time he passes a computer store or ATM with out stopping to let me check our balance! Told him it was PMS! Gotta hold on just a while longer! I can do it! We are on the way home!

WE WILL GET A DIVORCE! HE WON'T LET ME TURN ON THE COMPUTER UNTIL I GO GET SOME GROCERIES! THE JUDGE IS SURE TO GRANT ME THE COMPUTER! HOW COULD HE NOT? WITH MY HUSBAND PROVING HOW CRUEL AND ABUSIVE HE IS BY NOT LETTING ME CHECK MY EMAIL!!!!!!!!! WHO CARES THAT THE KID DOESN'T HAVE ANY MILK!! NO ONE BUT ME IS THINKING OF HOW MY DARLING COMPUTER MUST BE FEELING AFTER ALL THIS TIME ALONE!

Still haven't got to check my email!! Husband wanted to look at vacation pictures! At least I feel better now, I got to run the computer! I had to make my husband back off when he started to sit down in MY computer chair! The 12 ga. helped convence him I was serious! That HE had better get a grip on himself. Doesn't he know that HE has to control the computer, not the COMPUTER control HIM? He should try to be more like me and then being away from the computer for 12 days, 16 hours, 37 min. and 42 seconds wouldn't bother him! Oh well, some people just can't control themselves as well as I can! I'll just have to over look it this time!

Finaly got the husband and kid to bed! NOW I get to check my email!!! I'll just see how many I have then go to bed. My husband thinks I'm hooked and can't just LOOK! I'll show him! He's the one who is hooked NOT ME! I'll answer them in the morning. That will prove I'M NOT HOOKED!
Well folks as you can plainly see I proved that I am not hooked on my computer! I control myself. If you are as strong as I am you can too. So let this be a lesson to you all in self control!

Husband and kid said this was the best vacation they ever had! Personally I disagree but as long as my family is happy I can live with it. For me, now that I have my computer back I'll NEVER leave home without it again! How much do laptops cost anyway?
