The first task for this room was to remove the plaster texture. This was fairly time-consuming and VERY dusty, taking 3 weekends to complete. Step 2 - stripping the floors. |

We, as amateurs, are certainly getting ample opportunities to learn-by-doing in this house. Arayna has at least taken the proper precautions with a hat and dust mask. |

Jon has been working diligently on stripping the varnish from the hardwood floors. This looks so good that a new stain may not be required, just a little sanding and a sealer. |

The original plan for this room was to paint a racetrack and race cars in the midst of the green "grass" area. Instead, we've opted to keep this paint scheme intact, accessorizing with a rainbow ceiling fan and special items. |
