| This is my 1962 Corvette. It has never been restored and is just the way Chevrolet intended it. It currently has a total of 37,000 original and actual miles. It came from GM with a 300hp 327 equipped with a 4 speed T-10 Borg Warner transmission, and a 3:70 posi rearend. The RPO 242 is possibly the rarest option found on a 62 Corvette according to Noland Adams, noted Corvette expert. It was a special crankcase breathing system designed to bring the air normally escaping from the downdraft tube back into the intake. Now I know what most of you are thinking.......Trailer Queen! Actually nothing could be further from the truth! I drive it as often as possible. I have autocrossed, rallyed, shown, vintage raced, and yes, even drag raced it! |
