Ami Anders - biography
Special Guest
back
Scottish born Ami's desire for the stage began at the tender age of three.  She attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School for 5 years and graduated with "The Most Promising Musical Student" award.

Whilst at the school her television appearances  and  various Stage performances were varied.
Ami's career went in several directions since leaving Sylvia's.
She spent time on the Cabaret circuit developing her unique style.
Ami took a slight change in direction when she began writing, arranging and performing with a Rock/Pop band 'COAST' performing in some of London's more eclectic venues, whilst continuing her stage work doing fringe performances.

She had a residency on a Dinner Cruise boats on the Thames singing a Classic Jazz and Dance repertoire .

For the last seven years she has been performing as the only female civilian singer for the Army Bands. Namely the 'Household Divisions Big Band', 'The Grenadiers Big Band' and 'The Welsh Guards Dance Band'.

With them she has been lucky to perform at some amazing venues all over the country. Including performing at Windsor Castle with the Grenadiers Big Band in the presence of HRH The Queen and HRH Prince Philip.
