What is Slayers?

If you haven't seen Slayers, I would definitely recommend it, whether you are an anime fan or not. Slayers, as I have already mentioned, is an anime series. It is a fantasy series that has some elements based on Dungeons and Dragons. Slayers has a mix of action and comedy (though is usually more on the comical side, and gets quite silly at times). There are three seasons to Slayers: Slayers, Slayers NEXT, and Slayers TRY, plus four movies and six OVAs. The story of Slayers follows a sorceress named Lina Inverse. During her travels, Lina meets up with Gourry, a dumb, but incredibly skilled, swordsman, Zelgadis, a human who was turned into a chimera, Amelia, a princess obsessed with justice, and many others. The movies and OVAs take place before Lina met these people, and in the movies and OVAs, Lina travels with Naga. The Slayers world is a medieval-like world in which many mazoku (demons) dwell. During her travels, Lina often has to face mazoku and Dark Lords. It seems danger follows her wherever she goes. If you enjoy magic and fantasy, you will probably enjoy this series.
