What he have done for our unfortunate kababayans is an additional accom-plishment for our organization.  His family's involvement in the mission is absolutely magnificent that deserves commendation.
   For each and everyone of the family of Dr. Jao, we thank you for all the efforts you have exerted and the camaraderie you have shown us is certainly what we have wished for from the younger generation of Marinduquenos.

of Maryland with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Government and Politics, (major in Gov't. & Politics and minor in History) on May 19, 2001. She graduated with flying honor, "Cum Laude", with GPA of 3.9 out of a 4.00 scale.  She ranked on the top five percent of the graduating students. Another brainy Marinduquena. She'll be taking the Foreign Service Officer examination on September 29, 2001.

Leticia Malubag-Manlulu, the Blue Falcon Awardee for Nutrition and Public health in 2001. Letty graduated from the Philippine Women's Univer-sity completing her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition, and her master's degree in 1966. Then she took up master's degree in Public Health at the Tulane University School of Public Health, and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. She pioneered the establishment of the first Public Health Nutrition Program in the Philippines. She taught clinical nutrition at the Ocampo Memorial School from 1965 ot 1974, supervised public helath nutrionist of the DOH-Manila. In 1974, she also started teaching at the Rockefeller  in New York at the JFK Medical Center and the Middlesex School of Nursing, both in New Jersey, while holding a position as Public Health Consultant of the US Health Care Finance Administration in Trenton, NJ. Letty has published studies on "The Eval-uation of the Nutrition Curriculum in Philippine Medical Schools" in 1974 and the "Effectiveness of some Local Juices and Vegetable Juices as Meat Tenderizers under Household Conditions" in 1997.
and Election of officers for the year 2001-2003 held in Canada hosted by the Marinduque Cultural Society of Canada.
     Steve, in one of MESA meeting, proposes a Scholarship Grant for Marinduque teachers in addition to the very successful Medical Mission, as one of his projects in his term as President of MI, Inc.
     MESA's scholarship coordinator in Marinduque State College in the person of Miss Magalang, receives and stipend from the association which she utilize for completing her Master's degree education in Manila.   Steve think we can do more than that by offering a scholarship grant for teachers in Marinduque who wish to pursue their studies to be able to cope with the emerging technology resulting  in a better quality of teachers in the province and better quality of education for the students.
Aida Pastora Hulen, elected as P.R.O. of the Marinduque Interna-tional, Inc. representing MACA,  has just gradua-ted from the University
"Promoting literacy in Marinduque" is the theme of his project in which he sent a letter to Governor Carmencita O. Reyes inquiring about an existing public library in Marinduque that can be the benefactor of his project.
     The governor replied through her representative, welcoming the proposal of Rudy.  The positive response from the Governor serves now as a "go-ahead" for the beautiful project of MACUSA.
