BRADY'S 8th BIRTHDAY PARTY

On Saturday afternoon Brady had a birthday party at home. He asked his mates to dress up, and chose to be a knight himself. Cooper was a pirate. The costumes didn't stay on for long though, as they tended to get in the way of playing games and running around. The party ended with a campfire, and the kids' families came over with wine and beer, and 10:00pm saw a group of adults drinking port out of tin mugs and playing digeridoos  around the campfire while the kids were still running around in the dark. Brady, being a fire fiend, was constantly on the go finding more stuff to burn, and once the diges came out everyone had to have a go. Some were very good, and some need a lot more practise! It was a long but very memorable day.
As a special challenge, Brady asked Helen to make him a cake that looked like a load of logs on a flatcar, and drew her a picture to show her what it should look like. We think she did a pretty good job.
Smashing a pinata full of chocolates. The pinata was still not dry the night before the party, so we put it on the heater to harden up, forgetting that there were chocolates inside!
