The caravan park had fire drums outside the cabins, so on a couple of evenings we sat around a warm fire taking turns at  toasting marshmallows, a favourite passtime with Brady and Cooper.
All the tourists go to visit McKenzie Falls, which flows year-round due to the fact that it forms part of Horsham's water supply - water is released from Lake Wartook, high in the mountains, and flows down McKenzie Creek to storages closer to the city. While at the falls, we found out that there is a little-known walking trail that follows the creek to Zumstiens, another popular spot with the tourists. Helen offered to drive to Zumstiens and meet us if we wanted to do the walk, so that's what we did. We only saw one other family on the way, and passed the rather spectacular Fish Falls, which very few people get to see.
McKenzie Creek flowed through a rugged and beautiful gorgebetween McKenzie Falls and Zumstiens. Vegetation was thick and the hillsides were steep. Perhaps that's why the boys aren't smiling in this picture.
Here are Brady and Cooper about half way down the lower part of Fish Falls. The falls were too big to fit into one photograph. We spent a bit of time here, but no-one else arrived.
