STILL IN
THE GRAMPIANS
Return to What's been Happening
HOME
Another , somewhat more dramatic pic of Helen, Brady and Cooper on top of the Pinnacle. Halls Gap is down in the valley below. A cold wind was blowing up there, and we had a long way to go to get back to our car. We were doing a circular walk, and returning via the Nerve Test and Turret Falls.
Yours Truly on the Nerve Test. I was walking with Cooper when we reached the Nerve Test, and I told him I was going to go out there. His eyes opened wide and he said "Dad, you're going to hold my hand out there aren't you?"  No-one else was game to head out there, I don't know why.
We didn't see any other people on the long, steep walk downhill from the Nerve Test to Turret Falls, which were in a picturesque gully that we then followed downstream to our car at the Grand Canyon carpark. It had been a long walk with some big hills, and we had a couple of rather tired young boys by the end of it.

We went back to our cottage and relaxed around a final campfire before heading for the farm at Apsley where Helen's sister lives for a couple of days before going home.
