The humour (hopefully) is in the juxtaposition. The unabashed pride and joy in little Matthew’s “look what I did!” expression added considerably to the charm as well as to the theme. Of course, the main idea comes from every artist’s desire to create a masterpiece, the next Mona Lisa if you will, ever since we first put pencil to paper or paint to canvas. |
