Obo Bo: the Barbarian Mage |

I began playing Obo over six years ago. He started out as a humble (and not too bright) barbarian of the Tribe Blade. Through various adventures he has made unbreakable ties with other characters such as Trebor, the half-dragon, and most notably with Melindra, the Hand of the Goddess.
Throughout his life, he has been plagued with the interest of the gods. First by earning the wrath of Bryne of Mythgar, and then the allegence of Lord Soth. Throughout his adventuring career, he finally earned the respect of Bryne and made a deal that gave him the freedom and power of God-hood for one day. Because of that experience, he has gained insight to the ways of the worlds, and through a magical crown he created while a diety, he is now a very powerful mage on his way to being the most powerful in the world -- with only one minor setback... |

As much as I would like to put Obo's Character background into a final format, I am afraid that most of it is lost inside my head. I have been playing this character for so long that I can't remember, in any detail, the first few adventures of his life. When it became apparent how much I was enjoying playing Obo, I began to write him a journal. Unfortunately the journal is the size of a standard notbook in thikness and all hand written.
Some day I hope to sit down with all my previous gaming friends and recall our adventures together so that I may publish them in a webpage medium. But until then, I will have to make due with my own hazy recollections of his beginning, and rely on my more recent handwritten journal for insights as to his history.
Please check back from time to time, as I have a feeling that I might sit down with my keyboard some day and begin translating that journal into digital form... |
