A Digest of the Roman World
"Latin is NOT a dead language! " Jane Hall, my first Latin teacher.

But the links sure are!
Research results on Rome, Latin, and the Roman Army will quickly reveal an apparent wealth of information on the Internet and in print. Unfortunately, web links are born, shift and die constantly, particularly since many are non-profit or academic, and most books are small print runs, gone quickly.
My results in this digest below are representive rather than exhaustive, but they are updated and checked regularly.

Finding Rare & Out of Print Books :

The following not only have extensive networks of dealers, they allow you to have 'agents' that notify you when a books becomes available. This is a valuable tool for obtaining out of print and hard to find books before anyone else does. Note: the UK often has many copies of something unavailable in the US.

    • Used/Out of Print books
      • BookFinder - Very comprehensive but no agents.
      • AbeBooks - their agent offers the quickest notifiicaation of all the used//OoP sites that I've found :
