Sarah and Oliver Twist 2001 APHA gelding (horse shopping fairy tail may still be viewed below)

Ollie loves to jump!  Jumping photos were taken on June 3, 2006.  Only Sarah showed up for lessons that Saturday so we decided just to get some good photos of the horses instead.  The fences in the photos are about three feet high.  Oliver is young yet so we haven't jumped him higher. Look carefully in the background of the photo to the right... you can see the elusive Lauren riding Owen.  To see more of Lauren, visit her page! The galloping photos below were taken on April 23, 2006, one of the first days that was sunny enough to ride outside.

Sarah and the Three, um, Horses... A horse shopping fairy tale

We liked Billy a lot, he was very fancy and already a seasoned show hunter but he was just too big.  And slow.  (Note smallish girl tacking up large horse.  Also note pokey spurs.)

We were happy with Finn, he was beautiful and well-trained, but really he was too small.  Okay so there were other issues but for the purpose of this fairy tale we'll just leave it at that.

And then we found Oliver Twist (old name = Gambler), who is just right!  He is seen above with his old owner, Katie.  To the right is a very sweet photo of the two of them, taken about a month after Oliver arrived.
