Vorun |
Vorun splashed Siyu as he dove under the water, resurfacing to splash her again. "Vo!" Siyu shouted, trying to block the water from her face. "You ant! Stop that!" "I'm just playing, sis," the eighteen year old laughed, splashing her again. "Vo, act your age!" Siyu shouted again. "I am acting your age," Vo laughed, splashing his fifteen year old sister. "Can't you tell?" Siyu frowned at him, "Vorun," she groaned, pulling herself up onto the shore. "What?" He asked, smiling at her as he dove under again. Siyu groaned as she stood, "I'm heading back to my Covelet. If you're going to get something to eat, you best come now." "I was just having some fun, Si. Really," Vorun said, following her out of the water. "I know, Vo. I know. All you ever do is have fun," Siyu sighed, looking back at her brother. "I mean, even the Covelord's son has some sort of education. One year at the Institute isn't much to ask." "It's a lot to ask from me, Si," Vorun sighed, putting his arm around his sister. "You know I was never any good at learning." Siyu pulled his arm off of her shoulder and turned to look at him, "Vorun, you know that's not true. You never liked learning, but you were good at it. don't go telling me you have a lacestade for a brain because I know better." Vorun laughed at his sister, "You're the smart one, Si. You're the one going to The Institute. I'm just a do-nothing bum that hangs around Rip Tide and plays around." |

Siyu grinned at her brother and took off running, "Fine. If you want to be dumb, be dumb! What do I care!" She shouted as she rushed into her Covelet. "You little ant!" Vorun shouted, knowing excately what she was going to do. "Don't you dare block off the entrance!!!!" He ran towards the only entrance to the Cove's housing, Siyu's Covelet. He banged on the dresser that she had pushed in front of the door. If she didn't move the dresser, he would have to hike up a wet stone path to his mother and father's Covelet before he could get back to his. "Siyu!" He screamed. "Act your age!" "I am acting my age!" Siyu laughed. "I'm only fifteen!" Vorun groaned as he turned towards the steep path that lead to his parent's Covelet. *** "She did what?!" His mother, Voyu, shouted as Vorun explained why he had hiked all the way to their Covelet. "She blocked the entrance to her Covelet with her dresser," Vorun sighed. "It's not a big deal. I just had to come up here to get inside, and to give here due cause, I had been annoying her all night. "That still doesn't give her the right..." "Of course it does!" Vorun's father, Sirun, interrupted. "The boy should know not to mess with his sister." "Sirun, I wish you would stop calling our son, 'the boy'," Voyu sighed. "Get on back to your own Covelet, Vorun. We'll talk about this more in the morning." "But there's really nothing to talk..." "We'll talk about it tomorrow, Vorun," Voyu said again. "Now go to bed." Vorun sighed as he started towards his own Covelet, "I'm a grown man. They shouldn't be able to push me around like that." *** "Now, Siyu, you should know that your brother needs his rest," Voyu said to her daughter the next morning. "What for? It's not like he has something to do early in the morning," Siyu sighed. "She's got a point, Vo," Sirun said. "Keep out of this, Si!" Voyu shouted. Vorun and Siyu snickered to thenselves when they heard their parents. "What is it?" Siran asked. "You guys sound like us," Siyu said. "Oh, do we?" Voyu sighed, frowning. "Well, Vo, I call you Vo, like Siyu calls Vorun, Vo, and You call me Si, like Vorun calls Siyu..." "I get the point, Sirun," Voyu growled. "Well, you don't have to bite my head off about it," Sirun sighed. Vorun and Siyu both started laughing, "If you don't mind Mom," Vorun started. "I'm going to go out back." "You can go, but Siyu has to stay," Voyu said, frowning at her daughter. "Lighten up, Vo," Sirun said. "The girl played a prank. Big deal." "Yeah, Mom. Big deal," Vorun said. Voyu frowned at her husband and son, sighing she looked at her daughter, "Just don't do it again, O.K.?" Siyu smiled, "I won't." "Now can we go?" Vorun asked. "You can go now," Voyu said as he two children rushed outside. Continue... |
