Xira
As the snow fell lightly, Xira smiled up at the dragons that were perched on the mountains around Wild River Caer. Their bright hides shimmer against the gray winter sky. Her Caerlizards, Miya and Rita, circled her head as she brushed the snow out of her hair.
Rita chirped as a cream dragon circled down in front of Xira. Xira stroked the cream flit's head as she watched the cream dragon straighten herself out after the landing.
"Well, young miss, are you just going to stand there?" The cream dragon crooned.
"Certainly not," Xira sighed, rushing over to help the rider dismount in the excess snowfall. "Which Caer are you from?"
"Senar," The rider sighed as she removed her helmet. "This is Wild River, correct? Never thought I'd see so much snow in my life."
"We are one of the more mild climates," Xira laughed. "You should go north to Berlin Isle. There snowfalls are amazing."
The rider laughed slightly as she walked inside with Xira, "Are you a Dragoneer, dear?"
"Not yet," Xira sighed. "I've always wanted to bond. Though I'm not sure whether there would be a dragon for me. I'm a little to daring for most."
  "Daring?" The Dragoneer asked.
"I've talked back to the Caerlady before," Xira sighed. "She did the stupidest thing! I tried to tell her that she was leading the Fleet in the wrong direction, but no, she didn't listen to me. I'm NOT a Dragoneer. Well, long story short, a group of Ants were coming out in the direction she had lead us, and four dragons ended up riderless."
  "That's awful!" The Dragoneer exclaimed.
"Certainly is," Xira sighed. "I'm detrimed to replace her as Caerlady. She's so stupid! She doesn't know what she's..."
"XIRA!" Casero bellowed as he came in behind her. "What are you telling this Dragoneer about Tera?"
"About how stupid she is, and how I'm going to fix this Caer when I'm Caerlady," Xira scoffed.
"That's not going to happen because you aren't good enough to bond!" Casero bellowed. "You are an arrogant little Ant who doesn't know when to shut-up!"
"Well, sir, I disagree," The Dragoneer sighed. "She seems to be very intellegent to me, and I'd like to take her back with me to see if she will be accepted by one of our abandoned dragons."
"Never!" Casero shouted. "I'd never give this girl the chance!"
Xira leaped to her feet and rushed out of the Caer into the snow, "I can't believe you, Casero!" Xira shouted as she went. "You're just as STUPID as Tera!"

The cream crooned as Tera leaped up on her back, "So, you are coming back with us."
"As sooner as you rider can get away from Casero," Xira sighed.
"I FOREBID YOU TO TAKE HER WITH YOU!" Casero's voice boomed through the thick snow. "IF SHE GETS A DRAGON, SHE'LL BE MORE TROUBLE THAN SHE IS NOW!!!"
"SHE IS COMING WITH ME, AND THAT'S FINAL!" The Dragoneer exclaimed, her voice almost matching Casero's power.
The Dragoneer shuffled through the snow and finally reached her cream, "You set, Xira? Then, we're going."

Xira couldn't see muxh through the snow. She could tell that they had left Wild River, but she didn't know where they were.
  "Welcome to
Ryslen Weyr," The Dragoneer sighed.
  "Weyr?" Xira sighed.
"No time to explain. The fast we get you down to those dragons, the better," The Dragoneer sighed.
Xira followed her through the drifts. She couldn't understand why she had said the snow was bad at Wild River. It was ten times worse here.
"This isn't my normal Caer, but I came across it sometime last week," The Dragoneer sighed. "You seem perfect for two of these dragons. It just depends on which one takes you."
Xira was filled with sadness when she saw the three dragons laying in the Den. She first placed her hand on the nearest one. A bronze with white highlights.

Tarledonn? The voice was hopeful, but the sadness tinged it. You're not Tarledonn.
  "No, I'm not," Xira sighed.

Hush, Erynduth! She doesn't care about your sharding rider! A green hissed. No one cares about your sharding rider. Your sharding rider doesn't care about you!

Yohlisanth! the bronze crooned unhappily. I...
"You hush!" Xira hissed. "Your rider didn't care about you either so you don't have any room to tease!"
The green growled at Xira as she comforted the bronze,
She's like that. Don't yell at her, Erynduth crooned.
"She was teasing you," Xira sighed.

She was giving me a reality check, Erynduth sighed. She's really very nice.

Crap, Yohlisanth crooned. Complete crap! I'm not nice!
Xira laughed, "You two are really dirty. You want to go for a swim. I know a nice lake near Rip Tide Cove that should be warm."
"Um, Xira, that'll be too far for them to go," The Dragoneer sighed. "But I know where we can find a lake around here."
"All right, you guys up to it?" Xira asked.

I guess, Yohlisanth and Erynduth crooned.
"All right, I'll lead the way," The Dragoneer said.
"You can come, too," Xira said to the blue over in the corner.
  He crooned and sighed,
All right.
