This church was organized in 1848. It used to be called the Seminary Baptist Church.

On May 27, 1854 the first issue of the Rhode Island Pendulum was published. The man who printed this first issue was William N. Sherman. He lived in Rose Cottage after 1858. The newspaper that he started is now called the East Greenwich Pendulum.

This building was used as a church until 1905. Lutheran services where said there in the Swedish language. The former church is now the Boy Scout House which is used by Troop 2.

Parkinson Halloway House c. 1875
The small front part of this house was originally a hen house. Is was Mrs. Parkinson who made it into a regular house where her brother Mr. Halloway lived.

The church was organized on August 10, 1833. The spire of the church was built in 1923.

On March 28, 1907 Swift Gym was dedicated. It was a part of East Greenwich Academy, which was a private school in the town.

East Greenwich Free Library 1914
On March 3, 1867 the library was organized. The treasurer was James H. Eldredge. Originally the library was built on Main Street, but in the summer of 1870 the new building on Peirce Street was built.
He donated the funds needed for the East Greenwich Free Library in 1915.
She was the daughter of Daniel Albert Peirce and the children's library is dedicated to her.
