Enacting a Taxpayer's Bill of Rights
We support an amendment to the state constitution that would place limits on revenue growth at every level of government in the state. A government can exceed that amount only by getting the voters’ permission in a referendum. Excess revenues should be returned to the taxpayers or be deposited into an emergency reserve fund. Revenues include taxes and fees, assessments, licenses, etc. Bonding revenue is also included under revenues. As long as the amendment is void of loopholes and protects the taxpayers we will support it.
Ending Eminent Domain Abuse
In response to the U.S. Supreme Court's dreadful ruling in Kelo v. New London, we support legislation that that would prevent a government to take any property from home and small business owners anywhere in Wisconsin and hand it over to another private party.
Expanding School Choice
We support a voucher system and/or tax credit program that will empower parents to choose the best education for their children whether it be in a public, private, parochial or home based school.
Concealed Carry for Law-Abiding Citizens
We support legislation that would allow law-abiding citizens without a felony record or a record of serious mental health problems to obtain permits to carry concealed weapons.
Repealing the Minimum Mark-up Law
We support a free-market where prices are determined by the interaction of suppliers and their customers and call for the repeal of goverment mandated markups on the price of products, including, but not limited to, gasoline.
Fighting the Ethanol Mandate
We oppose the passage of legislation that mandates the use of ethanol in fuel and believe that the decision to use ethanol is a choice best suited to individuals on a voluntary basis.
