Electric Drive Conference
Ride & Drive site
Vancouver, November 2005
Solar Power Roadshow was at the Test Drive site of this conference with a Motorino XP electric scooter-bike from E-Ride.ca in Kitsilano. It was freezing, but the amazing Rain Cape kept me warm. Homepower magazine's Naoko Sato rode the Motorino XP electric scooter (ebike) at this electric vehicle conference's "test ride" site. She took photos and her editor videotaped her ride.
Here are photos from the
Rain Cover For Raincouver ebike show.
Several VEVA (Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association) members were at the test ride, and viewing fuel cell as well as electric cars, and utility vehicles..
This sky-blue scooter (with pedals) from California has a geared hub-motor which may require more maintenance than a gearless, brushless hub-motor. Better styling than a Vespa, in my view.
The silver prototype scooter from California has a spindle as well as a hub motor, two controllers, two switches. It was slower than my modified Ego-2, except for top speed. I estimate its range to be 4 kms or less, at top speed.
