This is the largest ball court we’ve seen and differs from others by its vertical walls and extra high goals. We are not sure but they think the captain of the loosing team was beheaded and his heart was removed and placed on the Chac-Mool statue ( click the back button to view) as a blood sacrifice during a wild post game ceremony. This is evidenced by the plumed warrior holding an ax with a severed head laying on the ground beneth. The symbol in the other hand may well represent a human heart. (see the relief below)
We never truly identifyed these three temples, the guide was fat and lazy and stood in one spot and talked it to death, then sent us on our own to explore the remanider of the complex without a map.
