A little bit about goldsmithing....

Goldsmithing starts with a mere concept and turns it into a
beautiful creation. It is an art form that originated during the
Renaissance and the masterful skills are still preformed today
with many of the same traditional tools.
Starting often with a wax mould, the intricate details
are delicately carved and begin to take shape. Once the precious
metals have been chosen, whether it's gold, silver or platinum, the goldsmithing process begins.
With steady hands working over a well-lit bench, the casting, forging (hammering and pressing), filing, and soldering begins. When the final piece is ready and every tiny detail is perfect, the jewellery is ready for the final step. Polishing truly brings the work of art to life, leaving it with a
brilliant shine and ready to be enjoyed by you… and admired by others.
