Asus are hitting the headlines again for all the wrong reasons with news that some models of the Eee Box PC are shipping with a virus on symantec virus removal and vundo the hard drive. It was only last month that the company virus from msn was found to be shipping recovery DVDs containing a cracking tool, confidential Microsoft documents and Asus application source code.
This latest incident sees a number of Eee Box models ship with the W32/Usbalex worm, triggered from an executable called recycled.exe. That file sits on avg download anti virus the D: drive and runs as soon as you access the D: drive on an infected machine,
Remove Spyware And Virus it then tries to infect the C: drive. The W32.Gammima.AG worm has also been found on some machines.
The following models are thought to be infected:

Matthew’s Opinion
After the DVD incident last month I’m sure Asus would have taken swift action to put in place tighter quality assurance checks on the software they ship. If they didn’t, then they stomach virus stool color surely need to react now as this is going to hurt their brand.
One incident of dodgy adno virus software is
Anti Scanner Spyware Virus Scan one too many, two incidents free virus scan norton so close together can get a company a reputation ofor virus ranger reviews poor
fly fisherman virus quality and a lack management. Asus have reacted in the right way to this second incident, but now need
virus when icons are changed to tell everyone what they have done to make sure it never happens again.
Does anyone have one of the infected models and if so did you find the malware before it did any damage?
