*Earl*
Wow.  Earl.  Where to begin...

Well, Earl and I have been best buds since the seventh grade.  We ended up learning that each other's favorite comic strip is Calvin and Hobbes, and from there, well, it's quite a story.

To keep a simpler and shorter story, I won't elaborate too much.  So yeah, the whole Calvin and Hobbes thing...  We were in 7th grade English together.  Mrs. Feldmann's class, if I'm not mistaken?  We coined ourselves Calvin and Hobbes, since they (and we) were best friends.  Earl is Calvin and I'm Hobbes.  Yes, Hobbes is a boy, but who cares.  Anyway, we were inseparable and we spent most all of our time together.

There was the Seventh Grade STEP Whale Watch trip with all of the prank calls.  There were all of the really late movie nights at Cal's house.  Or there were the trips to the actual movie theaters.  There were the bike rides with the gang.  My graduation parties.  There was our really stupid fight in high school.  Oh, there's the joke that his dog looks like a rabbit.  Our freshman year of high school we had lockers next to each other and we used to leave little notes and stuff in each other's locker.  I went to support him at a bunch of his soccer games.  He made us matching dog tags that say "Calvin and Hobbes" on them.

Calvin, you have been one of my best friends through life.  We've had our moments and we've pulled through them.  Thank you for always being there for me, always understanding me, always forgiving me, and for always loving me.  You are a true friend and I am so lucky that you are mine.  I wish you the best in life and may all your dreams come true.  Love ya!

Always, Hobbes
