The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the "Peanuts" comic strip.

Answer the following questions.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?  The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.
These are no second rate achievers.  They are the best in their fields.

But the applause dies.  Awards tarnish.  Achievements are forgotten.
Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's some more questions.  See how you do on these.

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
6. Name half a dozen heroes whose stories have inspired you.

Easier?  The lesson: The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with
the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards.
They are the ones that care.

Just so that there is some clarification...this page is dedicated to those people that have made a lasting and impacting impression upon my life.  Granted, I can not give every single person in my life their own page, but I have been picky in choosing.  There will be additions along the way, so hopefully one day, if you're not on here now, you will be eventually.  I am sorry if you are not.  Remember, whether on here or not, I love each and every one of you.

Pages listed but without a link have not been created yet.  Therefore,
they are not there.  Check back.
If you are not there, there is probably a reason for that and you can speak to me privately about it if you so desire.

I look back on my life now and see both the good and the bad.  But most of all, I realize that it's the everyday people who are really the heroes.  Without those people, some of us wouldn't be where we are, or be who we are today.  So I think it's really important to honor those people in our lives.
