10/24/01 **Point Of Clarification from Sheryl Dawn Maddox Montgomery- decended of Loura Alice Twibell Maddox

Loura’s father John was not the Revolutionary War soldier, it was her great-grandfather "John"..  Loura Alice was born in 1864; her father, John, was born in 1830.  Being born in 1830, it was impossible to have fought in the revolutionary war.  John’s father was Josiah.  I have Josiah born in 1806 and having fought in the Civil War.  Josiah’s father was John, the Revolutionary War soldier.  John, Josiah and John are all buried at the Twibell (cemetery), pretty close to each other.  John Jackson’s headstone is the broken one in the far south-west corner.  He is buried with his first wife, Lucinda Wilson Twibell, and his second born child, Ida Bell Twibell.  He had her with his second wife, Amelia Boyd Twibell. John probably didn’t get to live in the brick house very long.  He died at the age of 37, 2 months before his sixth child, Mary Margaret Twibell, was born.  Amelia raised 5 daughters in the brick house.
