| Smith Bros. Indian Village Restaurant "An Adventure in Dining for the Entire Tribe" Located 3 miles South of Redondo Beach and 10 miles North of Long Beach at 4020 Pacific Coast Highway, Torrance, Calif. This restaurant was a creative attempt at using the American Indian fishing tradition as a theme for a family restaurant. It's too bad we dont have any interior shots, because it was really cool on the inside: with fountains and a sort of Polynesian look to the building, which you see on the outside as well.. The waitresses wore deerskin outfits with feather headbands. Remember this was back in the days when ALL restaurants had to have a theme. Sadly the restaurant wasn't as popular as hoped, and it had to be sold. For a while at least, it functioned as a church. |
