In 1984 this unit was custom built by AA-Cater-Truck Co. to cater in the Hollywood, California area movie business. All new commercial restaurant equipment was installed in a low mileage van. The owners did well and two years later built a bigger unit and I bought this truck from them in 1986. In 1986 I had extensive work done to it including a new engine, transmission, brakes, etc. I had AA extensively remodeled the truck to be my movable catering kitchen for my new Catering and Event Planning business. I spent roughly $50,000 on this truck but it paid me back many times over. This truck drastically reduced the necessary size and cost of my fixed base kitchen & commissary. This truck greatly increased the capabilities of my off-premise catering ventures. The truck has been in storage since my retirement in 1997 and has recently been refurbished from bumper to bumper, every system brought up to date and tested, and is ready for your inspection.
CHASSIS: 23 Foot1974 Chevrolet Model 30 Heavy Duty 1-Ton Step Van, Low Mileage 350cid V-8, low mileage 400 Turbo-Transmission, Heavy Duty Suspension Spring Package, Power Steering & Brakes, Recent Brakes, Recent Tires, Recent Upholstery, Trailer Tow Package, Recent Batteries (3), New Exterior Lights and Lenses. This truck spent most of its life sitting behind one of our restaurants waiting for our next big event. It was often used as a "prep-kitchen for on and off premise events. It was driven only when called into service for big fund raisers, political rallies, corporate events. Compared to similar trucks in the "Hot Truck" or "Industrial" Catering business, this truck is a "cream puff". Since new in 1986 the engine has 30,000 miles or less, the Transmission 20,000 or less, the truck had regular professional and detailed maintenance.

We also had portable Southern Pride Smoke Houses that were occasionally plugged into this truck.
