Christina Feuerbach Born: 1738 Died: 15 Jul 1798 Spouse: George Hartman Anna Clara Feuerbach, daughter of Johann Heinrich Feuerbach and Catharine Maria, was born in 1734 in Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany. She married Johann "Peter" Shrout on March 28, 1760 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was born in 1730 in Germany. He came from near Darmstead, Germany, to America, in 1754 on the ship "Neptune". They moved to Hamphsire County, Virginia, where Peter acquired land about 2.5 miles west of Scherr, which he would farm. Anna was killed, by her husband, on July 24, 1804. It was reported that he accomplished it by ramming a broomstick down her throat. They were both about 65 years old and had been married for 44 years. The answer to "why" was never answered. Peter Shrout wrote his Will on the same day, leaving his estate to his children. On the 28th, he was arrested and pled not guilty. He was found guilty by a 12-man jury and sentenced to death by hanging. Peter was allowed to carry a stick to his hanging. Instead of dropping the stick as a signal, it is said that he defiantly threw it into the air. Their children were: 1. She was christened at St. Michaels Lutheran Church, in Philadelphia, Penn. She married John Bradford in 1778 in Hampshire, West Virginia. He was born April 8, 1745 in Quarry Hill, Yorkshire, England.
