William Bradford was born about 1695 in Yorkshire, England.  He married Elizabeth Chambers on April 12, 1719 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England.  She was born about 1700.

Another William Bradford, that sailed on the Mayflower was also from Leeds, Yorkshire, England, but we have not found a connection, as yet, to him, but could have a connection with our family.

John Bradford (born April 8, 1745) has been reported to have a very limited education, and while in his teens, he was put to work in the silk mills, his father being a member of the firm.  In 1776, at the age of 21, John left the silk mills and went to sea.  He became captain of a vessel and must have sailed to America, where he saw a new freedom and a large amount of unclaimed land.  It is believed that he came to America to live in about 1733. John enlisted in the Virginia Militia and was involved in the Dunmore War, under the command of James Wood Jr. During the Revolutionary War, he was a member of the Virginia 8th Regiment.  He migrated to Hampshire Co., Virginia, where he met and married Johanna Regina (Hannah) Shrout (see Feuerbach Family Tree) in 1778.  She was born May 17, 1762, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Johann "Peter" & Anna Clara Feuerbach Shrout. They lived on a farm 11 miles north of the village of Petersburg.

John, Hannah, and six of their children: Peter (age 21), Elizabeth (age 16), William (age 13), Gasper (age 8), James (age 6), and Mary (age 3) traveled to Ohio in 1807, by covered wagon, settling in the "military district" of New Castle Township, in Coshocton Co., Ohio. Peter later returned to Virginia in early 1812, bringing a bride, Nancy Ann Davis, along with the families of Joseph Bradford and John Bradford, Jr., along with the Wood and Davis families, back to Ohio, in 1813. The families of Peter Bradford, John Bradford Jr. and the Davis families decided to travel to Muskingum County and settle. Also traveling to Muskingum County were the younger brothers, William and Gasper.

In about 1815, John Bradford retired from farming and moved in John Jr. and family, bringing his wife, and younger children to his farm to live, leaving his farm to Joseph Bradford. John Jr. had settled just west of Bloomfield, Ohio, in Highland Township. In 1830, at the age of 85, John Bradford died in Highland Township, Ohio, and was buried in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery. Hannah died in 1841 in Highland Twp, Muskingum, Ohio, and was also buried there.                              

Joseph Bradford (Born Mar. 31, 1779) married Elizabeth Dixon in 1800.

Nancy Bradford was born Mar. 27, 1781 in Patterson Creek, Hampshire, W.Virginia. She married James Tucker in 1799 in Hardy, Virginia,  and died Feb. 29, 1872 in Jasper Twp, Carroll, Iowa.  She was buried Mar. 1, 1872 in Pleasant Hill Cem, Greene, Iowa           
   
George W. Bradford was born Aug. 21, 1783 in Hampshire, West Virginia.  He married Mary Stingley on June 13, 1805 in Hardy, Virginia and later married Elizabeth Schell on June 18, 1813.  He died Dec. 14, 1855 in Washington Twp., Grant Co., Indiana and was buried in Fairview Cemetery, in Grant Co., Indiana

Peter Bradford was born Jan. 27, 1786 in Hardy, West Virginia.  He married Nancy Ann Davis April 26, 1812 in Hardy, West Virginia and died June 5, 1842 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio.  He was buried in Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Muskingum, Ohio.    

Hannah Bradford was born Jan. 1, 1797, m. Peter Wood. Died Feb. 27, 1848, Jefferson Twp., Cochocton, Ohio. Buried in Darling Run Cemetery near Warsaw, Ohio.                   
                 
John Bradford, Jr. was born Nov. 2, 1788 in Hardy, W.Virginia and married Sarah (Sallie) Davis (see Davis Family Tree) Dec. 19, 1809 in Hardy, West Virginia. Sallie was born Feb. 22, 1790 in Hardy, West Virginia and died April 23, 1855 and buried in Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Muskingum, Ohio..  John later married Casandra Wright on Jan. 29, 1857. John died Oct. 13, 1866 in Highland Twp, Muskingum, Ohio and was buried in Bethel Meth Cem., Muskingum, Ohio

Hannah Bradford was born Jan. 27,  1812 in Hardy, Virginia and married Richard Honnold Nov. 18, 1831 in Muskingum, Ohio.  She died Sept. 22, 1894 in Edgar, Illinois and was buried in Harmony Cemetery,  Edgar Co., Illinois.            
     
William Bradford was born in 1813 in Hardy, West Virginia and married Elizabeth Workman Oct. 10, 1833 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio.  She was born about 1814 in Pennsylvania and died about 1843 in Linton Twp., Coshocton Co., Ohio.  William later married Elizabeth J. Lewis on Sept. 26, 1844 in Muskingum, Ohio. She was born about 1824.  William married a third wife, Elizabeth (Householder) (Wood) Bowman, on Feb. 4, 1871 in Blackford, Indiana. William died in 1874.

John Bradford, son of John and Sarah (Sallie) Davis Bradford, was born Sept. 1, 1817 in Highland Twp. Muskingum, Ohio.  He married Hannah L. Geyer Jan. 31, 1839 in Muskingum, Ohio.  He died June 21, 1890 in Highland Twp. Muskingum, Ohio and was buried in Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Muskingum, Ohio. 
Jasper Bradford, son of John and Sarah (Sallie) Davis Bradford, was born 1818 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio.  He married Mary Elinor Lane July 1, 1841 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio. He married Elizabeth Davis about 1844 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio, then married Mary Miller in Morrow, Ohio. He later married Lucy Shaffer in Morrow, Ohio.   Jasper is buried in Canaan Twp., Morrow, Ohio. 

Benjamin Franklin Bradford, son of John and Sarah (Sallie) Davis Bradford, was born April 11, 1821 in Highland Twp, Muskingum, Ohio and married Achsah Lane on Nov. 20, 1845 in Highland Twp.  He died June 27, 1889 in Monroe Twp., Muskingum, Ohio and was buried in Baptist Cemetery, Muskingum, Ohio. 
  
David Bradford, son of John and Sarah (Sallie) Davis Bradford, was born July 22, 1826 in Highland Twp, Muskingum, Ohio and married Jane Melissa Boal (see Boal Family Tree) on Nov. 15, 1848, in Otsego, Muskingum, Ohio.  She was born Sept. 12, 1824 in Otsego, Muskingum, Ohio and died Oct. 5, 1904 in Kansas Twp., Edgar, Illinois.  She is buried in Harmony Cemetery, Edgar, Illinois. David died Mar. 27, 1904 in Kansas Twp., Edgar, Illinois and is also buried in Harmony Cemetery.

Mariah Evelyn Bradford, daughter of David Bradford and Jane Melissa Boal, was born Oct. 1, 1852 in Ohio.  She married Sanford Parker Markle Mar. 31, 1868 in Charleston, Coles Co., Illinois.  He was born June 10, 1845 in Knox, Ohio and died Feb. 21, 1934 in Worthington, Greene Co., Indiana and was buried Feb. 23, 1934, in Worthington.  She died Mar. 15, 1935 in Worthington, Greene Co., Indiana and was buried Mar. 17, 1935 in Worthington, Greene Co., Indiana.    

Chauncey Gilmore Bradford, son of David Bradford and Jane Melissa Boal, was born July 14, 1864 in Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio. He married Rosa Adaline Callaway on April 2, 1885 in Coles Co., Illinois.  

Isaac Bradford, son of John Bradford and Sarah (Sallie) Davis, was born Aug. 12, 1829 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio.  He married Eliza Ann Wright on June 16, 1857 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio. 
He died Aug. 25, 1871 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio and was buried in Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Muskingum, Ohio.  

Sarah Bradford, daughter of John Bradford and Sarah (Sallie) Davis, was born in 1832 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio.  She married William McCobben on Nov. 29, 1856 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio.

Mary Ann Bradford, daughter of John Bradford and Sarah (Sallie) Davis, was born June 13, 1836 in Highland Twp., Muskingum, Ohio.  She married Joseph Geyer on Feb. 19, 1857 in Morrow, Ohio.  She died April 21, 1913.
 
William Bradford, son of John Bradford and Johanna Regina (Hannah) Shrout, was born Sept. 11, 1794 in Hardy West Virginia.  He married Frances (Fanny) Fulk on Nov. 10, 1815 in Muskingum, Ohio.  He later married Elizabeth Wortman.
 
Hannah Bradford, daughter of John Bradford and Johanna Regina (Hannah) Shrout, was born Jan. 1, 1797 in Hardy, West Virginia.  She married Peter Wood in 1813.  She died Feb. 27, 1848 in Jefferson Twp., Coshocton, Ohio and was buried in Darlings Run Cemetery, Coshocton, Ohio. 
  
Gasper Bradford, son of John Bradford and Johanna Regina (Hannah) Shrout, was born Feb. 20, 1799 in Hardy, West Virginia.  He married Rachel Scott on Dec. 4, 1823 in Muskingum, Ohio.  She died in 1843 and he married Margaret Workman, Feb. 4, 1847 in Muskingum, Ohio. He died Nov. 15, 1884 in Washington Twp., Grant, Indiana and was buried in Morris Cemetery, Grant, Indiana. 
 
James B Bradford, son of John Bradford and Johanna Regina (Hannah) Shrout, was born Jan. 25, 1801, in Hardy, West Virginia.  He married Crestine (Crissey) Leeper on Sept. 8, 1825 in Guernsey, Ohio.  He later married Margaret Scott  on March 9, 1848. He died Aug. 5, 1875 in Lawndale Twp., McLean, Illinois and was buried in Fairlawn Cemetery, McLean, Illinois.
     
Mary Ann Bradford, daughter of John Bradford and Johanna Regina (Hannah) Shrout, was born Jan. 12, 1804 in Hardy, West Virginia.  She married Jesse Sooy on May 14, 1825, in Muskingum, Ohio.
