August 4 thru 15
(6 nights in Zürich and 4 nights in the Berner Oberland Alps)

Lake Konstance... crossing from Germany into Switzerland.
This area is were Graf Zepplin manufactured his dream in the early 1900s.

One of the lead bikers.. I think he was 2nd here, but he ended up about 5th.
Instead of go! go! go! then Swiss yell hop! hop! hop! Sounds pretty funny. :)

The winner of the women's race! The last few hours of biking and running were
completed in a complete downpour. More rain than I've seen at one time.
The men's winner actually set a new record 8 hours, 12 minutes!

All the rain had flooded many of the lakes on the train ride from Zurich through Lucerne to Interlaken.
Makes a strange cloudy blue color.

One of the few dozen waterfalls in Lauter Brunnen. Camped in this beautiful valley for 2 nights.

The Rotstockhutte. Stayed here one night. It is also a dairy farm...
the clanking of cow bells did not disturb me, but then I tend to sleep well anywhere!
