In Memoriam

The people on this page are karaoke singers who have touched our lives by the way they sang,  but more importantly, how they lived their lives. Although they are no longer with us, they will forever remain in our hearts.

Robert M. (Bobby) Burke
July 2, 1959 - December 28, 1999

Bobby was loved by all who knew him.  His love for his family & friends always made you feel "at home" wherever you were.

In his last month, he went to see his favorite country music artist, Shania Twain, in Hartford.  At the end of the show, she  announced his name, and invited him backstage to meet her,  and was on cloud  nine afterwards.

From his many business ventures, to his favorite stool at Jimmy's Pub, Bobby always had a zest for life which came through even in his smooth singing.

Bobby was also my first ever singer at a show I hosted in 1993.

Arthur D. (Art) Russell,Jr.
Aug. 5, 1944 - December 2, 2000

I first met Art in 1997 at a wedding that we both were hired to do. We kept in touch ever since, and worked several other functions together as well. At first, he was shy about singing, but after his first song, (Green Green Grass Of Home-Tom Jones) he was hooked. His work as a videographer was among the best I had ever seen. Rest in peace, my friend. We'll miss you.
