And when (the chief priests, Mk 15:1..Lke 23:13..Jn 19:6,15..and the officers..Jn 19:6..and the elders and the scribes..Mk 15:1..the rulers of the people..Lke 23:13..the whole council..Mk 15:1..all the people..Matt 27:25 ..the Jews..Jn 18:31..Jn 19:7,12,14) and Jesus Christ, and Simon of Cyrene..Matt 27:32..Mk 15:21..Lke 23:26 ..and the great company of people, and of women..Lke 23:27..reached the place that was called the place of a skull, which in the Hebrew language is called Golgotha: Jn 19:17..Matt 27:33..Mk 15:22..Lke 23:33 The officers? gave Jesus Christ vinegar (sour wine embittered with poison) to drink but when he tasted it, he would not drink it. Matt 27:34..Mk 15:23 35 And the officers nailed Jesus Christ to a pole, a stake (impaled him), And with him they impaled two evil doers (thieves), one at his right hand, and the other at his left, Jesus was in the middle. Matt 27:35,38.. Jn 19:18..Lke 23:33..Mk 15:25,27 And the word of God happened, that said, And he was numbered with the transgressors. And Pilate wrote his accusation in the Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, languages, and he put it above his head on the stake. And what Pilate had written said, THIS IS JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. Then many of the Jews read the accusation, because the place where Jesus was impaled was close to Jerusalem. And the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, Don't write the King of the Jews: write that he said, I am the King of the Jews. And Pilate said, What I have written I have written. Then after the soldiers had impaled Jesus, they took his clothing, and divided it into four parts, and they gave each one of the four of themselves one part, but the coat was knitted from the top to the bottom in one single piece. So the soldiers talked amongst themselves, and they said, Lets not rip it, we'll gamble for it, to see who can win it: So the word of God that was spoken by the prophet would happen, which said, They parted my raiment among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots. And that is what the soldiers did. And the soldiers sat down and they watched him. And the people stood and watched. And it was the third hour. And Jesus said, Father, forgive them because they don't know what they are doing. And those who passed by Jesus Christ injured him with their speech, and they shook their heads, and they said, Ah you who were going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, Save yourself. If you are the Son of God, come down off that cross. And the ruling chief priests, and scribes and elders, also turned their noses up at him, and they said, He saved others, he can't save himself. If he is Christ, the King of Israel, the chosen one of God, let him come down off that cross now, so we can see, and then we will believe him. He trusted in God; let God deliver him now, if he will have him, because he said, I am the Son of God. And the soldiers also treated Jesus Christ like a child, and they mocked him and they jeered him, ***and coming to him they offered him vinegar. And they said, If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself. And one of the thieves who was impaled with Jesus Christ also injured him with his speech, and he said, If you are Christ, save yourself and us. But the other thief rebuked him and he said, Don't you have any fear of God, seeing that you also have been condemned to death. And we truly righteously; because we are receiving what was the expected reward for our actions: but this man has done nothing out of place. And he said to Jesus Christ, Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.
