The Sovereign's Council

The Sovereign’s Council shall consist of the Crown Prince, the Earl Marshal, the Grand Chancellor, the Sovereign of Arms, the Royal Exchequer, the Royal Clerk, the Grand Minister of the Guilds and the Sovereign's Advisors. The Council is to meet no less than once a quarter or less at the discretion of the Crown Prince.

Any call for an official meeting of the Sovereign’s Council must be given no less than 45 days before the meeting. Official notification must be given to all members via verbal, written, or electronic means. Emergency meetings of the Sovereign’s Council may only be called with a 72 hour prior notice to all members and concerned parties. The nature of the emergency must be stated at the time of notification. Emergency meetings may only be called with the expressed consent of at least three members of the Council.

The Sovereign’s Council is responsible for the general oversight of the Realm, under the direction of the Crown Prince. The Sovereign’s Council is responsible for the execution and interpretation of the Constitution and Bylaws of the Royal Order of Chivalry, as well as the ROC Handbook, Marshal’s Handbook, and the Guild Guide. The Council is responsible for the financial oversight of the Realm. The Council is also charged with the maintenance of all records pertaining to the Realm on behalf of the ROC. Annually, the Sovereign’s Council must provide to the Magnum Concilium a financial accounting of the Realm. Annually the Sovereign’s Council must provide a year-end summary of the Realm to the Magnum Concilium and the Executive Board of ROC Inc. The year-end summary must include, but not limited to total membership (active & non-active), State Chapters, Households, Guilds, events, and outreaches. The Sovereign’s Council must also include in their year-end report their upcoming year’s goals and calendar of events. The Crown Prince may refer anything to the Magnum Concilium that he deems necessary.
