| The "Rival" Team Linsy Lin Kala Minas Pip Ayako Ken Emmy Teng Getta Ullman Manna Seek Linsy Lin is a genius with a photographic memory, she remembers everything, although she’s not so good at processing that info yet. Her goal is to be a Jewel Knight, why? Why not? That way she can help people and make her family happy. Working with her will produce some skill in Acrobatics, since that’s what she does best! Kala Minas is the team tactician, cold, calculating and very careful in everything she does, she is a careful manipulator of people and events. She does have a good heart, but considers herself a creature of duty first, and her duty is to her Empress and people. She has spent much of her life alienateted because she’s a Gotal who grew up with humans and thus was treated differently by the other kids and their families, this is why she’s closesd off her emotions and being a JK is a way of proving those bastards wrong and showing them who’s boss. She’s a nerd reacting to the people who teased her. Hanging with her will produce a skill in Detective, since she is very methodical in the way she observes everything around her. Pip is a cute little freak who has the ability to Phase much like Kitty Pride, she’s also a natural thief and really good at getting into places and other forms of infiltration. She’s a tiny bit of a klepto, and has a habit of “borrowing” things, although she does usually return them eventually. She’s a ward of the state who grew up in orphanages until someone noticed her abilities at which point the government took her and it was decided that she had serious potential and should be trained. She actually has other powers too, but these have yet to manifest. Ayako Ken is a machine, she is dedicated to perfection in her art, which is beating other people up. One day, when she loosens up, she may become a good team leader and actually does have a good heart, but right now she can’t afford it. There is nothing to her life but the art, since she was first taken to a dojo, that has always been her way, she has no family (well, she does, but doesn’t acknowledge them), she has nothing but herself and her art. Obviously, she will produce the skill of Martial Arts. Emmy Teng is a nervous nerdy girl who is in serious need of a boost of self confidance, she is a bookworm and uses books as a way to hide from a world she is very afraid of. She only became a JK candidate because she was afraid of her father, and was as surprised as anyone that she was accepted at all. She’s more than happy to make friends, and she has an honest likeability to her, she also has a strong interest in the Occult. She has experimented with the occult before, but there was an accident and her best friend was killed, for which she blames herself. Although, her best friend Hiko’s ghost does keep telling her that it wasn’t her fault. (She talks to and sees the ghost, although it only exists in her head.) Getta Ullman is a swaggering ox of a girl, dedicated to inflicting herself on others, she is filled with bravado and is actually of the swashbuckler type, or would be if she had more style and a lot more brains. She’s actually a master of melee weapons, which is the art that got her attention and notice, and is competant but less skills with her hands. She wants to become a JK so she can kick ass and get paid to do it, but also to support her kid brothers and sisters who are poor and will never be able to afford a decent education without help. She’s doing it for her family. (Although she’s not likely to admit to this...) |
