| Cluster Religion
The religious life of the Cluster is dominated by the Order of Queens, which see the Queens as saviors sent by the great Goddess to save humanity. Indirectly, they are worshipping the Great Goddess, but directly they worship the fallen Queens of the first order (Maeve and her 7 fellow Queens; Ilya of Sapphire At’tei, Hen of Topaz, Maaiira of Diamond, Jin of Emerald, Er-il of Jade, Callinophia of Amethyst and Ki-Lin of Ruby.)who watch over their peoples from the afterlife. The symbol of the Order is an 8-pointed star, and silver versions of these on a necklace are commonly worn, a slight variant with a gem in the center being given by a man when he marries to his new wife. This is the symbol of a married woman. (Unmarried women will only wear a plain version of this.) |
