Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah

Kwame Nkrumah helped to organize the people of Gold Coast and lead them to independence. Upon independence the nation became known as Ghana and became a base for liberation groups throughout Africa. Ghana also became a base for African people world – wide. Nkrumah helped to lay the ideological and organizational foundation for the next phase of the Pan-African Revolution. He played a major role in organizing and giving direction to the 5th Pan-African Congress (PAC) held in 1945. It was the 5th PAC that served as a springboard for the liberation movements that developed all over Africa. Under Nkrumah Ghana became the an organizing base and ideological center for the Pan-African movement. Africans and revolutionaries from around the world were provided training and resources for waging struggle against colonialism, imperialism and zionism. Because of his love and commitment toAfrican people and Pan-Africanism, Kwame Nkrumah, became a target of the CIA and other imperialist forces. The CIA engineered a coup and over threw Nkrumah while visiting in Vietnam. After the coup in Ghana Seku Ture made Nkrumah co-president of Guinea. From Guinea Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah continued his work to build ONE UNIFIED SOCIALIST AFRICA!
