August 6, 2000

This is the first entry in the travel journal.  We are 2 months away from leaving on our aRound The World trip (RTW ).  There are an amazing number of things to deal with when you are planning to be out of the country for a year.  There are also many small expenses that really add up (ankle biters we have begun to call them). 

I am going to have a friend of mine (Dan Allen) update the site while we are on the road, so I am going to be sending him some info over the next couple of weeks so that he can post it and we can make sure everything works.

Don't expect to see anything too exciting in these pages in the next two months.
