The Product is a drop-A-heavy band from Winnipeg Canada, combining dark grooves with passion and intensity.  The Product exists because of bands like Tool, Korn, Deftones, Melvins etc.  Despite  most of the hollow pre-fabricated crap we see on television or hear on the radio, The Product strives to attain a higher form of success.  Not with money or fame, but knowing that we play what we want to play, and what it comes down to is that this is what the 'real people' will want to hear.  We aren't here trying to please the masses or the anti-masses, as long as there is one there will be the other, we are just the product of our surroundings.     The Product began in fall of 1998 as an illusion of 001, emerging from the rubble of the late Scorched Earth Policy.  With the soon addition of 002 and eventually 003, The Product took to the streets of Winnipeg. The first show was in March of '99 at Ozzy's; like most of the band's history, it was not always good, not always bad, but at least memorable. After over a year and a half of it's initial lineup, in 2000, 002 and eventually 003 would both defect (whereabouts is currently unknown), which sent The Product into it's transition troops; featuring 004 and 005 simultaneously of Cone Five, as well as the trial period member 006.         The Product would go on to suffer a year of futility in order to find whatever it is that it's looking for. Early 2001 saw the initiation of 007, followed by 008, a 'brave' new idea to seperate the voice from the guitar, & 009 to once again impose The Product upon the public.  Under this equation The Product took it's first stab at a demo basement-style EP entitled Instigation.  In fall of 2001, The Product finally fealt ready for a full assault on the civilians of Winnipeg, targeting various spots around town, some more often than hoped for, but the job simply needed to get done. Late in 2001, The Product would find reason to transfer vocal duties to 010, therefore subtracting 008 from the equation.    The project for 2002 saw The Product's first studio release entitled The Customer Is Always Necessary . Prior to it's release, 009 requested his release, and after the release, so did 007. Somewhere between the two events, came 011 came and left. Filling the crater left by 007 is 012, and bass duties are now property of 013. And so continues the circle of life.....
