It was O'Connell who made Evy read the spell out of the Book of the Dead if you remember - so he shouldn't have been so hard on her later in the film.
Through the wonders of the statistics I can call up on my pages on Geocities I have discovered that a number of the people making their way to my domain over the internet type in ‘Languages spoken in The Mummy’.  As I have been working on this for while myself I have decided to create these pages to provide information on that subject, and hopefully teach people a bit about Ancient Egyptian along the way.

There are three sorts of information in this area, the languages part of my Mummy site; the first covers the written Egyptian in The Mummy, the next  two cover the spoken Ancient Egyptian in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns . The third is a short page on the Arabic from the films provided by my friend Samir who has a grasp of the language better than mine
