"What's it say?"
It was O'Connell who made Evy read the spell out of the Book of the Dead if you remember - so he shouldn't have been so hard on her later in the film.

As I said in the pages on the spoken Egyptian in The Mummy by the time the mummyhad returned Mr Sommers and his team had got their act together and were producing some interesting phrases in Egyptian that actually made some sense. One other thing I have to say is though is that the creative team were very generous with their use of garbage again – half of what Imhotep says is apparently rubbish as far as I can make out– but that does not detract from the lovely Egyptian of which a few choice examples follow.
In this you need to note the slight oversight that made the curator say 'Selku' for scorpion - it should he 'Seraku'. The Egyptians didn't have the letter L - nor did they use the sound in their language. You hear this in Stargate where the characters use the word 'Danyar' for the character Daniel. The Egyptain in Stargate was translated by Dr Smith too.
