My life was forever changed in August of 1991.  I became violently ill and was hospitalized for six days.  During my hospital visit I had a near-death experience. It took many months for me to deal with this.  I have much to tell, but not everything can I share.  This was the most sacred experience of my life.

For the next ten years I was of ill health.  My health came to a crisis point in December of 2000.  I fell, due to extreme exhaustion; I broke my tailbone, messed up my pelvis and found out I have osteoporosis.  I was bedridden until May 2001, when I received my wheelchair.  In August, I advanced to a walker. By October 2001, I started to walk with the aid of a cane.

Today (12/13/01) I still get around with the use of my cane.  I have lost 92 lbs. and am still losing.  I feel so much lighter, I could cry for joy!  Not all my health problems seem to be over - there is something new all the time.  What can I say, after spending both Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day in the hospital, my family wonders what the next holiday will bring, I guess I'm just a holiday girl; and like to give holiday specials.

This site is dedicated to my God, my family, and excellent physican Dr. Marlan Hansen.
