| I named several streets the same as some I drew on maps as a child, hence the coincidence of seeing Chicago street names recycled in some instances. Logan Ave.- Named for my neighborhood. Wicker Park Blvd.- Named for the neighborhood. When I was little I thought it was 'Wicked Park'. Hansen Ave.- Named for a friend Johnson St.- Named for a friend. Lockhart St.- Named for a friend. Allen Ave.- Named for the street I grew up on. Wayne Ave.- Named for Gen. Mad Anthony Wayne of the Revolutionary War. West St.- Named for a friend. Glover St.- Named for the Deep Purple bassist. Eastman Ave.- Named for the Chicago street. (I thought it sounded cool) Freedom Blvd.- Named for...what else? Olsen Ave.- Named for my cousin. Patrick Henry Rd.- Named for the great revolutionary. Butler Way- Named for Geezer. Schwarzkopf Ave.- Named for the Gulf War hero. Nixon Blvd.- Named for Tricky Dick. Reagan Ave.- Named for the former President/actor. Savard St.- Named for the Blackhawk great. Jordan Ave.- Named for the Bulls great.( Though it is my opinion Pippen was a better all-around player.) Payton Ave.- Named for Sweetness. |
