The San Antonio Figure Skating Club in conjunction with the rink's ISI group held a overnight Skate-a-Thon on July 25, 1999, to raise money for a new jump harness.

Bylaws of the SAFSC-Revised 2004
Therpeutic Ice Skating Several of our members have been involved as vounteers in a  program offering disabled children the opportunity to ice skate.  Jane Wilhelm, a physical therpist with the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center and an adult skater heads this program.  Her introduction here.    View 70 great photos of her studemts on our new yahoo photo page

SAFSC held its annual Christmas party at the new Northwoods Ice Rink on opening day, December, 2002.   Click here for the photos.
NUTCRACKER ON ICE
Skaters presented their annual holiday show during the first two weeks of December, 2002 at the Crystal Ice Palace.  The Nutcraker on Ice was a monstrous undertaking that turned out perfectly in the end.
The show, directed by Coach  Kerry Stormo, delighted audiences, who raved over the scenery, costumes, excellent organization, and presentation.  Many of our SAFSC members participated.  Click here for more.
Our next test session is on December 4, 2004.  It will include all levels of freestyle and moves in the field and some limited dance testing.  For information and  questions email our president,

FUN! FUN! FUN!      Fiesta Finale Showskate
The SAFSC will host a sanctioned USFSA Showskate Competition, December 3-5, 2004 at the Northwoods Ice Center.  Judging will be on the basis "theatrical and artistic qualities from an entertainment standpoint."
