LIONS COMPLETE MOVE to NEW HOME
March 25, 2002

The Saginaw Downtown Lions Club opened yet another chapter in their long and storied history of serving Saginaw with their move to the historic Saginaw Club.

The Lions Club Board, along with the support of their membership, approved the move to the familiar downtown setting of the Saginaw Club following the closure of Jacobson's, where the club had held its weekly meetings for many years.

Upon the announcement of Jacobson's closing, the club immediately began a search for a new facility that would accomodate its members and guests for weekly meetings.  The club's president, Lion Bob Heft, indicated that wherever the club ultimately decided to call their home, the commitment was to remain in Downtown Saginaw.

As that they did.

The new surroundings has given its membership base encouragement, realizing a strong increase in their overall membership since the move.
