The Tree Outside My Window

In the tree outside my window
The breeze whispers wonderous things
Of how moles shall burrow
And why the cage bird sings.

In this tree outside my window
Where future children shall climb
Waits a protective sparrow
That will have its way in time.

Under that tree outside my window
At one I spent my days
Loving and caring for a fellow
Knowing that love may nevr always stay.

Looking down at this tree outside my window
It shall stand solid and firm for many years to come
As it did when my home was merely a meadow
It shall see the end of the world, like some.

Untitled #23

The waves they rip past my body
cold and cursing they sting my skin
lashing back you continue racing
with a gush, rush they come again
slipping, falling to the floor
the sand leaping swallows me whole
while I wonder, wonder how
I'll find that castle
way off in th distance made of sand
you said you'd wait there
with my key, you know
the one that unlocks the doors
theones of eternity for you and me
But now I'm sucked down through this floor
magam rushing and gushing
from earth's core, to me
and I'm alone.
