WHITE DOCTOR
Originated by: James Wright,   1845; the Black Doctor and the Thunder and Lightning are two of the most famous of the fly patterne that Mr. Wright is known for. The White Doc. is the rarest one to be seen these days, yet is one of the finest fishing flies through out the world.

THREAD:     Black 6/0 waxed
RAG:    Silver wire and canary yellow floss
TAIL:     Golden pheasant crest
BUTT:     Scarlet ostridge herl
BODY:    White floss
RIB:     Oval silver tinsel
HACKLE:     Palmered pale blue saddle hackle
THROAT:    Blue Jay tied over the wing casing.
UNDERWING:     2 Golden pheasant breast feathers
WING:    Married swan shoulder feathers dyed; yellow, red, blue, green, golden pheasant tail and peacock wing.
Topped with Bronze Mallard.
SIDES:
   Sections from guinea fowl wing (or) gallina.
CHEEKS:     Blue chatter.
TOPPING:    Golden Pheasant Crest
HEAD:    Scarlet ostridge herl
HORNS:    Blue and yellow macaw (optional)
