About the artist:
Introducing Sandra Nosworthy, Southern California artist, whose palette has been influenced not only by her world travels but also by her British husband's heritage. She's sophisticated yet desires the countryside.
Her landscapes and still lifes evoke memories of pastoral landscapes of New Zealand, where she lived for years, and the British Isles that she has visited.
Sandra's extensive travels internationally have allowed her to see many of the world's most prestigious art museums. As a result she has emulated her mentor's philosophy "learn to paint as the Masters".
Sandra's brushes and palette were idle during the years she was actively involved in publishing the textbook, Simply Singing, written by her husband, Hedley Nosworthy, for Thompson Learning/Schirmer Books. This text is widely used for singers of all levels, instructors, choir directors, studios, colleges and universities. It is touted for its originality.
Sandra's innovative mind has planned many future paintings, amongst them a portrait in the style of Rembrandt.
