*****************

Vainia awoke and curled up next to her strange blue Zerruleii. The creature looked something like a cat and something like a wolf. She had stripes on her elbows and pink white eyes. How she had come to meet the creature, no one was quite sure of. They all new not to mess with it however, or Vainia would personally kick their butt. The blue creature yawned showing it's rows of sharp teeth and made a strange noise in the back of it's throat. Vainia stirred and awoke staring blankly at the Zerruleii.

"Good morning Daic, nice to see you again." She said patting the creature on the head. She pulled out a locket from her pocket like she did every morning at stared at the picture. It was of a red headed boy who had the same eyes as Vainia but they were orange-red in color and not blue-white like hers. "Faquin......... it's been a while since I've seen you? Have you forgotten our promise?" A tear ran down her cheek.

"I know it's silly to keep thinking about him, but...but why did he forget?" She sighed. "He was such a good brother he always was there when I needed him... Maybe someday I will get to see him again." She smiled at her Zerruleii, and scratched her on the head "corny huh?" Daic grumbled and got up to stretch her legs.

******************

"Vainia why are you late?" a tall white haired man asked her. His eyes gleamed bright blue from under his white hair. He looked to be only about 20 a few years older than Vainia, but he had white hair, even for his age.

"I'm sorry...but I was enjoying being away from this wreck you call a hide out..." Vainia said glaring at the man.

The white haired man blinked. "Don't you talk like that to me! You don't do anything to help around here! Plus stupid Kilo thinks he can magically wave his sword around and scare us!" He screamed at Vainia.

"Whatever Vale! You know he could kick your butt! Or have one of his minions do it for him!" Vainia screeched back.

"SHUT UP VAINIA! Or I'll personally kick your butt..." Vale yelled at her, standing about three inches away from her and leaning forward.

"Here." Vainia said pulling a box of tic tacs out of her pocket. "Breathe friendly..." a few of the 'thugs' that were present coughed.

Vale whirled on them. "You think that's funny do you?" The tall blonde thug shook his head. "Good...Vainia go make your self useful..." Vale said gesturing to the door.

"And what do you want me to do of wise and powerful leader?" Vainia said in a mocking voice.

Vale smiled and climbed to a chair at the head of the 'hide out'. He was used to being teased by Vainia and he teased her back. It was some way to amuse them, than just mopping about waiting to be kicked by one of the members from Kilo's group, he always acquired the most powerful and conniving while Vale got stuck with thugs. "Go bring us something shinny...something big and shinny..." Vale said winking.

Vainia grinned evilly, she knew what Vale had meant. Not like the bunch of thugs who just stood there and scratched their heads while Vainia walked by smugly. "If I don't come back...I'll probably be lying somewhere in the dirt half conscious, because I spent all my money on beer and passed out from the intake of alcohol." Vainia said walking down the steps.

"And where would you get this much money Vai? And who would give you beer? Your 17 idiot!" Vale yelled to her.

"Yeah but I'm awfully darn cute for 17!" Vainia yelled back at him walking out of the hide out before she could hear his response.

*****************

Vainia scrambled over a metal fence and landed in front of a large gold watch-weyr. It turned it's utterly deformed head towards her a opened it's mouth to bellow an alarm. Vainia gently put a hand over it's mouth and the creature recoiled afraid of being touched. "You poor thing..." Vainia said. "When I get the my share of the cash that comes from this I'll buy you and set you free ok?" she said feeling sorrow for the deformed dragon. It shut its mouth seeming to understand.

Vainia rose and whistled very quietly for her lovely blue Daic. She leapt elegantly over the fence and landed besides her master eager to get inside to overly large mansion that towered before the both of them. "Be quite Daic...Vale told me a shifter with exceptionally good hearing lives inside...if we get caught..." Daic nodded, her eyes gleaming pinky white in the moonlight.

Vainia sighed out of the frying pan and into the fire...

Vainia picked the lock that would let her and Daic into the safe of the mansion that they stood in front of only 20 minutes ago. The thing about Vainia was she was good at what she did and she could do it fast. She slid the door open quietly and peered inside, there it was, the legendary diamond that Vale had talked about. It was ruby red in color and about the size of a man's fist. If she could pull this off...

Daic made a sound in her throat and Vainia turned to her. "What is it Daic?" she hissed under her breath. She watched Daic walk towards the diamond and stroke her tail against the glass that was surrounding it. "Oh that? don't be silly!" Vainia said and walked quickly up to the case. "Keep watch ok?" Vainia asked and Daic happily pranced towards the door.

Vainia pulled off one of her dark blue gloves and placed her hand on the glass. She felt the temperature in the room drop to and extreme low and the glass shattered silently and quickly. She pulled the precious jewel from it's stand and froze the alarm before t could go off. Felling quit pleased with herself she called for Daic and walked quickly out the door, making sure that the watch-weyr was asleep before she left so it would not awake the house hold.

********************

Vainia pulled the ruby from a bag and handed it to Vale smiling. "Big and shinny.." she said to him in a cocky tone.

"Nice...very big very shinny. Worth lots of cash..." Vale said looking at Vainia's half there face. "What do you plan to do with your share?" He asked suspiciously. If it was one thing Vainia couldn't do it was to tell a lie.

She looked at him surprised he would ask her a question like that. They usually kept things like that to themselves. "Well...I..."Vainia said suddenly overcome by an idea. "I plan to buy another pet...one that could take care of this place while we are away." She smiled. "And what would you spend it on?"

Vale smiled. "Do you really want to know? Or are you just asking to get me back?"

"I really want to know...It can't be that bad can it?" Vainia replied, after all what could be so bad?

"Oh, I was thinking about Ale and whores..." Vale replied laughing at Vainia's looked of utter disgust and surprise. "no...I don't know really but I was thinking this place needed a watch-weyr...." He winked at Vainia. and into a room behind his chair. "Are you spying on me?" she asked.

"No why would I do that?" He responded with a half smile on his face. He sighed when she gave him her "if you don't tell me..." look. "When you said something about protecting the place when you were gone and another pet. Well I put two and two together not to hard is it?"

Vainia smiled with relief. She knew why Vale was on top in her gang, no one else was that smart besides her. "You enjoy freaking me out don't you?"

"Yes I do...i very much do..." Vale said grinning. "You know that Kalia in kilo's gang?" he asked Vainia in a much more serious tone.

"Yeah what about her?" Vainia asked a little cautious she thought Vale was once again up to something.

"Well...I was talking to her yesterday at the bar. I didn't realize that she was in kilo's group until I saw her tattoo. Then she asked me out....well I wanted to know what you thought. You’re the only one here with enough brains to tell the difference between yellow and blue, so should I go with her?" Vale asked with a cocky grin on his face.

Vainia was crushed. After all this time that she had put up with his nonsense hoping that one day eh could love her like she loved him. Now he'd be more willing to go with an airhead then her.

Well personally...I think Kaila is an airhead, but you know if you like her go with her..." Vainia said trying not to sound hurt.

Vale smiled kindly. "What do you really think Vainia?" He asked quietly. Vainia half smiled, Vale had this way of seeing through lies, probably another quality that made him leader.

"I don't know Vale. She's just not your type, you know she's kind of a sluty type..." Vainia replied. After all how could she tell him that she *glup* liked him?

Vale smiled again, and brushed his white blonde hair out of his face. He started to chuckle then it became a laugh and pretty soon he looked as if he could fall over. "what is so funny?" Vainia asked shocked.

"Oh I'm sorry...it's just you’re an idiot Vainia...." He said becoming more serious. "an idiot but I guess that's why....I..I" Vale mumbled.

"You, you what? Spit it out!" Vainia said felling like she ought to slap the bastard.

Vale turned bright red, (which made his hair look even more awkward) and leaned over and kissed Vainia.

********************

Vainia leapt over the chicken wire fence for the second time that week, only she wasn't going for more jewels she was going to save the watch-weyr. Hitting the ground with an almost silent thud Vainia looked back to see if Daic had followed her. Happy that her faithful Zerruleii had followed her, she was going to once again need her help.

Daic leapt over the fence and landed besides Vainia, more cautiously than before. She lifted her cat like head and sniffed the air. Whining, she turned her big pinky eyes to Vainia. "What is it?" Vai said not daring to even whisper.

Daic pointed her head forward and Vai followed her gaze. In the place that the watch-weyr had been previously was nothing just it's clunky collar and the chain they kept it on. Vainia ran forward disbeveling what she saw. "the poor creature...what could of happened to it?" Vainia wondered picking up the collar.

"It was just a watch-weyr Vainia...." A voice said. Vainia turned around to see Vale sitting high up on the fence all cloaked and leader-ey looking. A sliver sword dangled from his belt and he had his white hair twinkled in the moonlight. "Watch your step..."

"Vale!!" Vainia hissed from the ground. "What did you do with it?" Vainia said unsure whether she should trust him or not. She turned around to see where Daic had gotten to and found that her beautiful blue creature was gone. "Oh my gosh! Vale???" Vainia peeled hopping onto the fence and scrabbling up to sit besides him.

"Exactly what I was talking about.." Vale said more quietly than before. "I think it's the shifter....but maybe..." vale said staring at the front door to the mansion.

"what kind of lunatic would hurt poor Daic?" Vainia said wiping a tears from her eye. "And the poor old watch-weyr?"

"The one who watched you steal his jewel..." Vale said his eyes swinging from the door to a large oak tree that was a few feet in front of them. "Get up..." He hissed at Vainia standing on up on the narrow piece of metal they were sitting on. He drew his sword from a jewel in crested sheath.

"I thought that you hated guys who magically wave their sword around and get things done.." Vainia mocked realizing where the fancy sword came from, probably from the ruby. "I thought that money was for ale and whores.." Vainia said still unaware of what vale was doing.

Vale still stared at the oak tree, but rolled his eyes at Vainia. That was a joke you dork..." He sheathed his sword and turned to face her. "We'll get Daic in-"

Vale stared to say but was interrupted by a low growling noise. Vainia turned and saw nothing in the oak tree, but she was sure that was where the sound was coming from. Suddenly out of no where Vale fell to the ground and looked as if he was wrestling with him self. He his sword had fallen next to him and he kept reaching for it with one arm.

"Vale??" Vainia said leaping down next to him and picking up the sword. "what the???" She screeched when she saw a pair of eyes hovering just above Vale's.

"Vai...hit it!" Vale said through gritted teeth trying very hard to keep 't' off him. Vainia picked up the sword with both hands and swung it at whatever was trying to eat Vale.

The sword hit something and the something screeched very loudly and fell to the ground. It slowly turned into what looked like a human. "Now I know that's not a good thing..." Vainia said pulling Vale up from the ground and handing him the blood stained sword.

"Nope...it's an invisible shifter..." He winced looking down at his leg. "I think I sprained it..." Grimacing he continued. "The invisible shifters are very rare and come from Rayllom, or so people say. They can sit right behind you and watch you without you even knowing it. Which is probably what he did when you stole his gem. The only way you can tell they are there is to watch the area very closet, like is grass is being indented strike there, or you can see their eyes sometimes."

Vainia nodded. "Weird...but where are Daic and the watch-weyr?" She asked worried abut her pal and the little gold watch-weyr.

"They are probably inside..." Vale said sliding an arm around Vainia's shoulders for support. "They'll come back to the hide out, Daic knows where it is and with the shifter gone they'll be able to get out."

Vainia sighed. "Ok all powerful one, whatever you say."

~*~About Five hours Later~*~

"Vale where are they? They aren't back yet. Vale!!!" Vainia screamed running around like a chicken with her head cut off. "My poor Daic!!!"

Vale winced putting ice on his sprained ankle. "Vai, it's ok..they'll come." He said and yelped. "Ouch...stupid ice..." Vainia sat down nest to him took of her glove and put it on the sprain. "Oh...that works too..." Vale said half-way smiling half-way cringing. "Lightly lightly..."

"You’re a baby..." Vainia said lifting up her hand slightly. "I mean it's just a little sprain you where only hurled what 40 feet down?"

"Not funny..." Vale said his face turning pink. "I mean I was the only one aware of what was happening you just kept blabbing on about your stupid Daic. She's a Zerr-a-what...."

"Zerr-ul-eii." Vainia said. "And so what if I wasn't aware of what was going on. It's been three years since I've been on Rayllom."

"Vale?" A tall brown haired gang member walked in, he stared at Vainia sitting a little close to Vale with her hand on his leg. "Am I interrupting something?"

"No Uzil, no your not..." Vale said snapping into his "leader voice" and sitting up strait.

"Erm..Ok." Uzil said looking from Vainia to Vale with suspicious eyes. "Anyway...there's this girl her to see you. Says she wants to know why you didn't meet her for lunch yesterday."

Vale grimaced. "Kaila.." He whispered to Vainia. "Uzil...just tell her I don't feel like talking to anyone...er..."

"Because he has broken a bone." Vainia cut in. Uzil nodded and walked out the door.

"Tell her I'd love to some other time..." Vale put in. "I was getting to that..." He complained slouching back into a pillow. He flicked a piece of hair out of his eyes, and looked at Vainia who was dead silent starring out the window.

"What?" He asked Vainia wondering what upset her. No answer. "I didn't want to hurt the girl's feelings. What was I supposed to do?" Vale sighed.

"The only reason your interested in her is because she's pretty..." Vainia whispered, silently wiping another tear away. Vale had done it again, broken her heart.

"No...it's not..." Vale argued turning to see Vainia's face. She glared at him. "Ok...maybe it is..." He admitted.

Vainia turned around again facing the wall. She wondered if he could ever even begin to figure out what was bothering her.

"Did you ever think that maybe I didn't want you to know I liked you?" Vale whispered quietly leaning over Vainia's shoulder so she could hear him. "I was only going to go out with Kaila so you would think that I didn't like you." He admitted. "I never thought that it would hurt your feelings...."

Vainia turned and looked at him, her white-blue eyes filled with tears. "Of course it would hurt me idiot!" she said wiping them away.

Vale smiled and hugged her tight, and for the first time in Vainia's life she felt like she belonged, in Vale's arms.

"Vale?" Vainia looked up to see the brown haired Uzil. He was standing there beet red staring at both of them.

"Ok now your interrupting!" Vale yelled and with one arm he threw a pillow at Uzil.

"But Vainia. Your blue...er..Daic is here, with the watch-weyr." Uzil announced proudly. He stood aside and let the two in and they came bounding towards Vainia.

"Daic! And..the watch-weyr!" Vainia said pulling away from Vale and hugging both of her pets. "Oh I'm so glad your safe!" she said patting both on the head.

Vale tried to stand up, but quickly sat back down. "what are you going to call your watch-weyr?" He asked.

"Jakčl." Vainia said patting her on the head. Vale laughed he smiled at Vainia shaking his head.

"Vai...golds are girls..." He pulled himself up and with great effort collapsed on the floor besides Vainia.

"You know what she looks like a princess..." Vainia said cocking her head to one side.

"Fine then we can call her princess, Princess of the watch-weyrs..." Vale said laughing harder.

"I'm serious you brute!" Vainia said poking his leg. He winced and nodded agreeingly. "Then you shall be princess..." Vainia said patting her on the head.

****************************

Vainia walked over to the window in Vale's room. The view from there was incredible, you could see the whole city, and a little bit beyond. Maybe that was because Vale's room was on the top of the hideout (about 60 floors up) but maybe it was for some reason unknown to Vainia. "Vale...this is amazing you can see the whole city..." Vainia murmured looking back at him.

"Yeah I now...a long time ago when Typhin was leader he did something to the window. People say he used black magic, but I just think he has a magnifying glass or something on it." He shrugged. "Makes no difference to me...." He twisted up his face. "But that wouldn't explain why if you touch it, the screen zooms in on what you touched..."

Vainia laughed. "so where's this Typhin guy from anyway?" She had a good idea, he sounded to much like one of the Xairics from her planet. They were race far superior in magic but behind on the advanced Rayllomian technology.

"Rayllom, but come on Vainia it's a myth!" Vale said getting up and walking over to her. "Right?" He said eyeing her playing around with the window. She had zoomed in on something and pulled up a box on the left side. Vale couldn't read what it said, because he was illiterate but Vainia seemed to understand it.

"Wrong my friend..." Vainia said closing the window and turning to him. 'Rayllom exists, and this is an example of it's technology. That's a standard computer system, even people of Typhin's race could master that." She smiled. 'I am from there, and I guess that explains my mysterious ice powers.."

Vale stood there shocked. "Well, I wondered but never asked. Can we go there?" He smiled. "I have heard about the Sargon, and how he seems to disappear for times and comes back with highly advanced technology for his Weyr..." Vale got a far off look in his eyes. "Technology..." He said softly. 'that's it! Vainia! This is how we can get rid of kilo! Bring stuff back from Rayllom! They won't stand a chance if Rayllom is really like how they say it is! I mean no ordinary Weyr would take us..."

Vainia smiled, she understood. "It is Vale, it is really like that..." She thought again of the Sanrixes in Rayllom, places where you could imprint on a dragon. "Vale...Rayllom only had dragons for a short time, and the Sanrixes were few and scattered. One by one they fell to the power of Garth. Only one remained Sanrix Azon which had purebred Rallyomian dragons. Sargon ran it, but after the death of his Father and the defeat of Garth, he warped it her to Pern. There are no Sanrixes left, in fact when I left Rayllom it was in horrid condition, they need Sargon and his black bronze Bolton..." Vainia said rather sad.

"But there is hope, Sargon left s he could breed more Rayllomic and Dark Dragons, hoping that the owners wouldn't mind there abstract abilities to breathe the elements..." Vainia looked at the window. She zoomed in on a large island in the northern corner. "Azon...." she said breathlessly. "And there are dragons....."

"We need dragons but I have heard of this Azon. There was only one clutch and there has not been one since something about the lack of males. We need to find this Sargon and ask him were to impress."

*********Upon entering Azon************

Vainia looked around her, people were hurrying back and forth and carrying stuff this way and that. A few of the Sargon's tigers and ligons ran around helping out their owners. Vale stood in the same utter amazement at the unique dragons with large horns, ears, and claws. They had brilliant eyes not like pernese dragon, Rayllomians had pupils.

"Come on lets ask this girl." Vale said pointing to a tall blonde girl who was standing next to a guy in a cloak. "Excuse me, but do you happen to know where the Sargon...." Vale stared looking strangely at the guy on her right. He was cloaked in black showing only his face and he had eyes that were almost white.

"Yes...i know the Sargon what about him?" the girl asked looking at Vale who was gapping at the cloaked guy. 'Do you have a problem?"

I believe he knows you... A voice said into Vale, Vainia and dark man's head. Vale and Vainia looked up to see a medium sized perfectly proportioned night green dragon.

"I believe he dose Xenoyth..." the man muttered staring directly at Vale. "If I am not mistaken, you are Vale son of Valor?" Vale nodded unable to speak. "I do hope you remember me...I am Typhin of the Xairics." He announced. 'And I don't think I know your friend..." He said noticing Vainia for the first time.

"I am Vainia bringer of ice..." Vainia muttered smiling at Vale's look of delight.

"Ok what is going on here?" and why on Earth would two kids like you want to see my brother?" the girl with blonde hair said, as a large icy blue dragon walked up behind them.

"llo Miza, Sargs say he wants to see you pronto and bring Typhin and those kids you found. He knows why they came. The dragon said.

"Ok Hawk whatever you say." Miza said still a little confused. She helped Vainia onto Hawk's back and Vale rode with Typhin on his little Xenoyth.

***************************

Vainia entered a highly secure room decorated with banners and flags from her home world. Some where ancient and others fairly knew. They were mostly written in the common tongue so Vainia walked behind Miza and Typhin translating them for Vale.

"what do you think they're talking about?" Vale asked looking at Typhin and Miza who where busily talking about something.

"I dunno...this one is about the fight between Garth and the Shadow King..." Vainia said stopping in her tracks and pointing to a long tapestry on the wall. "I have researched this forever but they never seem to say who the king was, the only clue really is that he was a rare type of shifter, called chameleon, meaning he could shift into anything." She pointed to a black wolf on the tapestry, it had bright yellow eyes that seemed glowed eerily even in the bright lights of the high tech room the were in. "The other clue is that he kept the same eyes throughout his shifts, the same creepy yellow eyes...

"Sucks to be him, and I thought my eyes were bad..." Vale said with a crony grin on his face. He had deep blue eyes, with hints of green.

"Yeah...people say he's immortal since he defeated Garth..." Vainia said continuing on.

Vale shrugged. "That wouldn't be so bad, being immortal, it would stink though if you couldn't share it, I mean I'd hate to be alone..."

Vainia nodded. She and Vale came to a stop in front of a highly protected door and watched Typhin mumble something into the speaker. The door slid open and Typhin turned to Vainia and Vale. "good luck I guess he wants to see you first.."

Vale and Vainia slowly walked into the giant chamber and saw a huge pillar in the center of the room. When Vainia looked up she realized that in front of the pillar was a huge computer and that someone was atop the pillar operating it.

"It's like one of those movies when the good guy gose to see his boss, I'm surprised he isn't sitting in and overly tall chair stroking some ugly cat..." vale joked realizing what the pillar was.

Vainia muffled a laugh. She looked to the computer again and realized they should probably say something. "Hello?" She called, but no answered came from above.

"HELLO?" vale screeched trying his hand at it, still no answer came from above. "By the egg, what is he doing?" Vale hissed to Vainia.

"HELLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOO????" He bellowed shocking Vainia.

A loud rush sound came from the top of the pillar and a door they had not seen opened at it's base. "Uh...I think we should have seen that..." Vainia said giggling again.

"Yeah..." Vale said blushing. "Sorry, I'm a blonde..." He yelled up to the pillar a little quieter than before.

"Technically you'd be a 'white'..." Vainia said stepping into the 'elevator' that was in the pillar's core.

"Yeah and technically you're a 'blue'..." vale said following her. "this is the weirdest thing I've ever seen, it's like a moving stairway..."

Vainia laughed. "Pernese people are sooo un-advanced it's comical." Vainia said. "I mean for crying out loud they thought it was smart to use machines to get threads that are buried underground..."

Vale coked one eyebrow. 'Uhuh...and what other way would you get rid of buried threads?" He asked.

"Use a dragon's flame..." they couldn't figure out to dig into the hole where the thread was buried and have the dragon spit fire into it. Simple easy and less time consuming than clunky pernese machinery."

Vale nodded and was about to say something but closed his mouth since the elevator stopped. The doors slid open and Vainia and him walked onto the platform it lead them to.

On the platform was a giant bronze and black dragon and a tall black haired man. He was facing the giant computer screen which had a world map of Rayllom pulled up.

Your guests have figured out how to use the elevator Sargon...The dragon announced looking at Vainia and Vale with his bright intelligent looking eyes.

"Took them long enough..." the black haired man replied, still pondering over one section of the map.

Sarg...I mean they're hereright now. The dragon announced flicking his tail in front of Sargon. You can figure this out some other time, I'm sure they won't mind waiting the warp is not for another good month or two.

The black haired man waved his hand and the computer shut down, and he turned around to face Vale and Vainia. Vainia looked at him, he was wearing an all black riding outfit and a long sword was attached to his belt. He was very tall and looked to be around 25. The strangest thing about him however, where his eyes they gleamed yellow gold and looked creepy even with the light that the computer shed on them. Vainia gasp, her brain making a connection.

She leaned over to Vale ad whispered. "The king of the shadows! From the tapestry..."

"It can't be you said that was over 100 years ago..." Vale muttered looking at Sargon's eyes. They did look the same...

Well...hello I am Bolton...and this as you may or may not know is Sargon Weyrleader of Azon. The black-bronze said breaking the silence.

Vale stepped forward. "I am Vale son of Valor from Pern." Vale said trying to sound proper.

Vainia stepped up next to him. "and I am Vainia bringer of ice from Rayllom." She said being sure not to mention her mother's name. It was not that she disliked her mother it was just that she was somewhat ashamed of what her mother did for a living, something she would never tell even Vale.

Sargon nodded respectfully. He coked his head looking at Vainia. " Are the daughter of Misera?" He asked. Vainia gulped he had seen right through her, Sargon was from Rayllom no doubt but there was know way he could know her mother was there?

Vainia nodded. "Yes but I prefer not to talk about her in public..." She whispered. "How do you know her?"

He used-Bolton began, but Sargon looked at him sharply. "Old friend..." Sargon explained looking still fiercly at Bolton.

Anyway...why have you two come here? Typhin mentioned something about you wanting dragons...Bolton said avoiding Sargon's glare.

"That's odd we didn't say a thing to him about why we came..." Vale said, speaking up for the first time after his introduction.

Sargon laughed, and Vainia noticed his canines were a bit long..."Typhin can read minds." He explained. "If he gives you this really really blank stare that is probably what he is up to."

Vainia smiled. "Well we do want a chance to imprint on a dragon. Preferably a Rayllomian..." she said.

Sargon managed a weak smile. "Sorry oh one of cold temperature but Sanrix Azon is still in the making. Technically, it is Azon Weyr to the public. See everyone back there thinks I'm nuts for warping it out here. But there is no way we could have fixed it up with all the Rayllomians around who still hadn't made up there minds about Garth. Even though he is dead as a doornail and will never be coming back...." He said with a bit o a twitch in the Garth part.

Vale looked at Vainia with an overly cocky face. "How do you know he's dead? I mean it's not like you where there. That was over a century ago."

Sargon smiled wickedly. "It is quite amazing how stupid pernese can be to other cultures. Haven't you ever heard the tale?" he asked folding his arms.

Vale nodded. "Bits and pieces..." Vainia laughed and twirled a strand of her hair.

"He knows only that the king of shadows had unusual golden eyes, and that no one quite knows his true identity in the present day, it seemed to be common knowledge back when it was his time. So far I have only those two clues." Vainia said looking back over her shoulder at the door. "and that he was a shifter that's all I know."

Sargon's smile increased but he said nothing. Bolton snorted indignantly. You are truly a blonde Vale; you are truly a blonde... He announced looking at Vale's perplexed face.

"I am the bringer of darkness, the prince of the night or as you two know me the king of the shadows who overthrew his supposed 'good intentioned' brother." Sargon said quietly turning back to his computer. It pulled up a large unidentified world. He zoomed in on one part and saw a large building He zoomed again on a certain area and pointed to a tall dark haired woman looking over some papers. "That is Baeris Kshau Master healer. He pointed to the building that she was in. "this is the healing den." She turned around and faced Vale and Vainia.

"and Vainia you will stand on her sands, and hopefully impress a dragon." He said smiling at their shocked faces.

"I knew you looked to much like him!" Vainia said happily. "She looked at the woman who was still going through papers. "But what about Vale?" She asked unsure if she should go.

Vale can impress a Rayllomain dragon. Bolton said picking up his head and tilting his ears backwards.Sargon Phantom has picked up two very unusual candidates for Baeris...he says one can supposedly throw fire and they where trying to get back to Rayllom. Bolton shook his giant head. The freaky part is the fire thrower is looking for Vainia..

Vainia choked "Faquin?" she said unbelieving her luck she was finally going to see her brother again.

Yes Faquin and...Cari. Cari seems to be normal, Phantom says she is form earth and I wouldn't doubt his intelligence.

"Well then Vainia off to Baeris' place." He smiled kindly at Vale's look of disgust. "don't worry vale when Paianith rises and Bolton catches her you can imprint on ones of his sons." He smiled. "though you do look like the type who would ride one of Tiyanni's lights..."

"Can I bring Daic?" Vainia asked not wanting to leave her Zerruleii behind.

Sargon nodded. "I guess....whatever she maybe......"

*****************************

Vainia is standing at Baeris Kshau's Healing Den.

Vainia had grown quite bored with the healing den, it was very very big. She had recently found out that Vale in fact, had once been a prince in Rayllom. Why he didn't tell her before was lost to her but she didn't mind, they both had there secrets.

"The eggs are hatching!" Enlos, an elf she had met from forest's edge ran to her panting.

"Ok let's go get Vale!" She replied and ran off to find him, so very eager to see if maybe a bond for her was waiting out there.

***

A long while into the hatching after a whole lot of interesting dragons had passed, a very odd red-brown leapt from his shell. He had a flame like pattern and was very handsome, he reminded her of Faquin's hair, she watched as he walked directly over to the tall red-yellow haired man and placed his paws on his shoulders. "Faquin?" Vainia thought to herself.

She was interrupted by another hatchling breaking from her shell, a beautiful sliver white dragon. Vainia who on Rayllom is that and why is he staring at us?

Vainia laughed. "that's my brother Faquin, I haven't seen him forever..." she said and winked at him, though she doubted he could see it, he was a while away.

Vainia pranced up to him and flung her arms around him her eyes filled with tears. "Hello big brother..."

"Vainia..." He whispered and hugged her tightly.

***

"Ok who is he?" Vale asked when she and Faquin had made their way to the feeding grounds where he had patiently waited.

"Calm down he's my brother..." Vainia muttered watching a blonde girl run up to Faquin and hug him. A very playful green dragon trailed after her.

"Cari this is Vainia, Vainia this is Cari..." Faquin said nodding to both of them Vainia smiled, Faquin and his blondes.

"Nice to meet you!" Cari said and shook Vainia's hand, she was sweet.

"You too." Vainia said watching Faquin eye Vale a little bit dangerously. "And this is Vale, everyone..." She spat grabbing Faquin's arm and shaking her head.

"hello...?" He said backing away from Faquin who looked as if he literally was going to go up in flames. Vainia laughed, this would be an interesting day...

Vainia, I have made up my mind. The icy cool voice of the mist-white jaath danced merrily into the 3 month pregnant Vainia. We are going to the Ryslen Flurry. It is not fair that you go through this without me...

Vai, didn't bother to argue. "Ok Jaath. You'd make a really good mother you know? But I don't know about me.."

you'll make a fine one I'm sure...
