Went home to Heaven
October 13, 1996

Dear Daddy,
It has been four years
since you went home
to live with God.
I still miss you.
Love Wylene

By the divine power of Almighty God, death was conquered.
through the crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ

May the Lord grant you eternal rest and to all our loved ones
who have gone before you in faith.

May they share with you in Christ's victory and
enjoy the vision of God's glory forever.

I ask this through Christ, Our Lord, Who lives and reigns with
God and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and Ever.

Amen.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus

My daddy held a special devotion to Jesus.
He particularly loved this picture of the Sacred Heart.
He said it seemed to talk to him.

Daddy went to Mass every day for many years and often served as an altar boy.
Often he would leave home at 5 a.m. to go to church, and then go to work.

Happy Father's Day
Daddy
You are gone to Heaven
But you are not forgotten!
I Love You!

A Letter To My Daddy

There are so many things I should have told you face to face.
I either lack the words or fail to find the time and place.
But in this special letter, Daddy, you'll find, at least in part,
The feelings that the passing years have left within my heart.
The memories of childhood days and all that you have done,
To make our home a happy place and growing up such fun!
I still recall the places we went, the games we often played;
Those confidential chats we had while resting in the shade.
You made my world a better place,
and through the coming years
I'll keep these memories of you as cherished souvenirs.

Thank you for all the years of giving and caring,
of patient teaching, and loving discipline.
Thank you for all the years
of listening to my problems,
guiding me into making my own decisions,
and sharing my disappointments
as well as my dreams.

Thank you for loving me enough
to hold me close when I needed you most,
and for loving me enough
to let me go out on my own.

I am who I am because of all you've done for me
I'll always be grateful, and
I'll always, always love you!
Your loving daughter,
Wylene

Jesus was the guide my father used all his life.

Daddy was named after St. Joseph.
Like St. Joseph, my Daddy was a good father.
He always worked hard to provide for his family.
He was a funny person. He used to love to laugh.
He could be just sitting still
then he would call out "Look Out".
Just to make you laugh.
He loved to ask questions.
He said asking questions is how a person learns..
He never finished grammer school,
but was a very smart person.
