Join S.O.U.L.!
Save Our Unique Lands is a grassroots, volunteer driven movement. All of our activies are carried out by farmers, landowners, workers, students and others who volunteer their time because they believe in SOUL's mission, and that the Arrowhead-Weston line is wrong for the Northland.
We understand that between work, family and all of the other everyday things in life that it's often hard to find time to get involved, without you and your support there can be no SOUL. In whatever way you can, we urge you to get involved in our movement. Below are a variety of ways to get involved with Save Our Unique Lands.
Turn Out 4 Rallies & Hearings!SOUL has been able to do what it has done because we've been able to mobilize hundreds of people for our rallies, government hearings and other public events where it was important for the public to be heard. Check the calendar on this website often for important events that you and your friends can attend.
Contact Your Elected Officials!The American Transmission Company has literally spent millions to try and get government bodies and boards to approve the Arrowhead-Weston line. From County Boards to School Districts to the various elected state officials - it's important to contact these officials to let them know where you stand, and in doing so provide a counter-weight to ATC's millions. Donate to SOUL!From legal fees to postage stamps, the work that Save Our Unique Lands does costs us money. We're not deep pocketed millionaires either, so all of our expenses are paid for by donations from working people like you. If you'd like to make a donation to SOUL, of any size, send check or money order made out to "Save Our Unique Lands" to SOUL, 8585 E. Baldwin Ave., Solon Springs WI 54873.
Join Save Our Unique Lands!The best, and easiest way to plug into Lake Superior SOUL is to attend our monthly planning meetings to find out what projects we're currently working on, and how you can plug in. We meet on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7pm at the Community Center in Bennett, WI (just off of U.S. Hwy. 53).
