To a Page of Thanksgiving from around the world
Thank you God for all that you have given me.
The land, the blue skies and the sea
The different seasons that come and go
The spring with rain, the winter with snow
The animals, birds, and flowers too
For all these things were made by you.
Thank you for my health, happiness and daily bread
Also the roof over my head
My mother, father, sisters and brothers
Relatives, friends and all the others
Dear God I say this humble prayer
To Thank You for your loving care

Written by my Mom:  Joan  "1950"
My mother always said, to be thankful for the little things in life which I have always tried to do.  In her memory, I decided to find out what people from around the world are thankful for and then post them here for all to see.  My mother would be very happy with this page and I know she's smiling down on me as I prepare it.

To start off I will let you know what I'm thankful for.  I am thankful that I had wonderful parents and was lucky enough to be able to spend the last 41/2 years with my mother through her journey of dementia.  I am also thankful for my family, my friends, my pets, and the special times I have with them all.   Last but not least, I am thankful for this website for keeping me busy and sane, the technology of computers  and for all the wonderful people that I have met through this site and over the internet.

I am thankful to find a place to move all my animals to so they weren't euthanized. I am thankful for the relationships I have been able to establish with these sick, injured and abused little creatures. But most of all, I am thankful that I have them and they will never be hurt or abused for the rest of their little lives.

I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful for the 16 years I had to share with my best friend, Bo. I am thankful for times spent with my granddaughter, long talks with my daughter. I am thankful for children's laughter, the sound of the rain,
a friend's voice and the cuddles from my furry friends.

I'm thankful for learning to be more forgiving of myself and others; for being able at least sometimes to listen to others and to hear what they need to say; to learn how wonderful most people are when they feel accepted without being judged.

And Sharon, I'm thankful for memories of your mother's cherubic form and face as she stood in her entryway and greeted me.
And I'm thankful that you thought enough of me to ask for these comments.

I am thankful for the lessons life has taught me. Otherwise, I wouldn't have the wisdom or courage to face what is yet to come.
